21st would be good for me as I think I'm off that day, I've voted TDI North but I wouldn't pull out if RSTuning was used because I'm not bothered which place is used.
Some say the ph-1 is the best drive out of all the 1*2s. The only way to tell is to drive one and see for yourself because it all boils down to personal choice at the end of the day.
I got mine from Larkspeed via ebay, abit cheaper than k-tec. £35.90 delivered if I remember correctly.
I've driven an RS with all the mounts uprated to k-tec mounts and it didn't feel much different to my Cup on idle or driving yet some people find it unbearable.
I got the same thing when I rang EuroCarParts lol I had to go in and explain what I was on about.
To be honest I'd try replacing the upper engine mount, I know it's £57 wasted if it's not that but when I was getting that nasty knocking noise I took the upper engine mount off and all the...
Guess it's down to how the car's driven, I do tend to drive mine hard at times but I've no idea if the car had any mounts replaced by the two previous owners. The upper engine mount I replaced was absolutely knackered though, the main bolt eventually snapped so my engine was just resting in the...
Depends how you drive it I guess, I replaced my upper engine mount with a standard mount and it lasted a month lol Was a 2nd hand one though so it may have been on it's way out before it was ever on my car.
Think generally they last 10k miles from what I've read on here.
Replacing the mounts with standard mounts would probably take the knocking your experiencing away but it'll come back eventually because the standard mounts don't last to long. I'm going for the k-tec mounts eventually but starting off with just powerflexing the dogbone mount for now.
Hopefully should have my powerflex mounts for the dogbone mount this week, just a question regarding fitting, am I right in thinking there's no need to support the engine before removing the dogbone mount?
Logically thinking about it, you shouldn't need to because the two upper mounts will...
EuroCarParts, K-tec.
Let us know how it goes mate because I'll be fitting powerflex mounts to my dogbone mount very soon but the reason I'm doing it is for a different reason to you.
If you know someone who'll do the conversion on the cheap or be capable of doing it yourself I'd go down the conversion route. There's advantages and dis-advantages to which ever you decide to do. If did do the conversion at least you know the car where as if you bought a 182 you could quite...
Do you mean the emissions light? If so that'd probably be a faulty lambada(sure that's the right spelling :S) sensor then.
Mine sits around that figure too and most of my driving avoids motorways most of the time and I also don't drive slowly
The guy that pulled out in front of you was completely oblivious to what had happened behind him, I know that sounds daft but the type of idiots who just pull out of lanes without looking tend to be none the wiser to anything unless it's right in front of their nose. I'm sure people think once...
Mine's definitely the starter motor mate, it's due down at Birchdown at the end of the month for a replacement starter motor.
Lol That's sods law, mine did the same thing when ever anyone looked at it, even when I had to call the AA out to it because it wouldn't start, I was messing about with...
Starter motor beginning to give up? Mine started off occasionally not working with all the symptoms you've described but over time it got worse and it's got to the point where it happens on a daily basis.
It's been done by a few, I nearly did it at one point. I've stripped the rear since and if I replace the front seats with anything it'll probably be with bucket seats.
So it seems it's another clio trait then. Mine only does it if I get close to the limiter in 1st. If I change up well before the limiter it doesn't do it.
It's on 46k. Clutch seems to be fine to be honest, no slipping etc, only thing I really get clutch wise is the infamous creaking after a spirited drive which I believe is down to the cable.
Yeah I'll be uprating the engine/gearbox mounts eventually so I may as well do it sooner rather than later.
