With you taking it off the road and basically having no running costs of it I guess it'll help and hopefully not force you in to a position where you have to sell it but having it parked up there not doing anything must be a killer :dapprove:
Sounds very similar to what mine did on the Cat&Fiddle run, not sure if you was there when it did it? Eventually after trying various things it's turned out to be a sticking starter motor and I get that clicking sound also.
Looking good mate, as stated above it looks very stealthy.
How does it drive? does it spin it's wheels alot or can it manage the power ok and what's the torque steer like? lol
Not entirely sure if it was a 172 because I only saw it briefly but it had white turinis and was parked up near the BetFred in higher Irlam on Liverpool Road around 11amish today.
Do it yourself ;) Get more satisfaction out of it knowing it's all your own work.
Hardest part is getting the old exhaust off, those nuts that hold the centre section to the Cat can be a b*****d as they heat weld themselves, I had to use an angle grinder to get mine off in the end lol
Daz - A
Kneel - A
BIFCAIDS - E (will proberly come but only be watching)
Sophance's Gaz - B (depending on day & cost)
Jonff - B (date and time dependent)
Best colour (my opinion) less equipment on them so there's less to go wrong and with it being a Renault it will go wrong at some point, were my reasons for buying a Cup.
Well the problem I'm having has got be heat related because this morning the car started fine, I drove to work and parked up, about 5 minutes later I needed to move the car, it wouldn't start. I left it for 5 hours or so until I was leaving work and again it fired up fine. I got home and just...
If you did a Saturday what time would be looking at getting there for? I work Saturday mornings so anything before 12pm and I'll have to declare myself out :dapprove:
That's not a real Cup :rasp: Or maybe that's just me trying to make excuses for my poverty spec  lol
My suggestion would be to go for the Cup (slightly biased though as I've owned 2) All depends on you and what you want. If you can do without the toys, half leather and ABS then go for the...
Does it sound similar to a supercharger whine? because it might be something to do with the one of aux pulleys I think. Mine whines at about 3k rpm in 1st and 2nd.
Hmmm. Well I've got a shield over the starter it's self and I've got a small silver metal cover over the wire and connector plug that's near the starter.
I've got it booked in at Birchdown to be replaced now anyway, thought I might as well as it's having an M.O.T done there too.
Make sure you have plenty of money in reverse too, these cars have a tendency to break and go wrong alot lol. Not saying they're all like this because the 1st one I had never went wrong but this one I have now develops alot of problems.
How long have you been looking or thinking about getting one? Those ph-1's grow on you, I really didn't like them for a while and when I was looking for an RS I completely disregarded them whilst looking but the more of them I see in the flesh the more they've grown on me and I'd certainly have...
I'd be interested in a rolling road/driving meet, be interested to find out how much power my Cup is down on from the so called factory spec. Only problem is trying to fit it in around work as I work most Saturdays :(
Lol it's really getting frustrating now, looks like I'm going to have to bite the bullet and get it replaced.
The hinges on my bonnet are going to need replacing soon due to the amount of times it's been up now lol
