Bought a cheap daily DCI with the sales man saying it needed a clean, thought yeah needs a wipe and hoover. I always keep my cars clean (very clean) but this is a polar opposite! The sales man must of sprayed it with something, as the days went on the smell got worse and worse. It got so bad I...
Ok I've removed my passenger seat belt an now it's jammed. When I removed it, it realed in, now keeps locking. Had a quick look and can see the locking mechanism, just don't want to mess as seatbelts can be pretty important. Any ideas, need it sorting asap really
Thanks Gaz
Really interesting thread, love your DCI exhaust......... I want you to make one :)
What power/torque did it end up producing? Thinking of removing the egr, decat/straight through and a decent map.
Thanks gaz
Last I heard scrap was at a low, offering nothing for scrap cars. May even end up paying to get it scrapped. So if you offer it at £50 or free collection on the forum may be the better option. Customers are limited to those with space and a trailer
Got my dci for a daily and my sport can now be a track car. With insurance and tax being so low on the DCI its not that bad on the pocket running 2 cars.
Well happy with it, really quick for a 1.5 diesel that does 60mpg. Main thing I'm impressed with is how quiet it is for a diesel, no diesel knock or smoke. Only let down is you do need to use the gears.
Bought this as a daily hack, but after 200 miles I feel its too good to drive in to the ground. Thought I'd do a thread as I hope it to be a bit different from a cup track car lol. Plans are to tidy up and just get it looking better without going ott.
The cars engine is sweet, just going to...
Heard loads of bad but nothing uncommon with all diesels really, injectors, pumps ect joys of motoring. My boss has just had an injector go on his Mercedes, black death as its known as. Every car has its problems.
Just hope mines OK, as for kicking its nuts in, its one thing I like about it it...
Nice to hear this as if you google 1.5 DCI Clio its all horror stories. I'd heard 65 were slow, that's why I didn't expect much more from this, but its really surprised me
Mines the 100bhp mk2, only bought it for work....... I really like it. £30 to tax, £280 to insure and 60+ to the gallon and its not slow. Perfect daily commuter.
I bought myself a daily today to get me mobile while I finish my 172. Managed to find a fairly tidy 100bhp DCI Clio, and I must say I'm really impressed! Really quiet to drive, even outside the car its quiet and I can't believe how nippy it is lol. Really surprised me, thought it was going to be...
Yeah I bought the car with wet carpets hoping it was a simple fix, 5mins on Google and a cliosport thread pointed me to them. Looked and water was dripping from the right hand side one. How did you dry it out?
Thanks gaz
Got water in the rear foot well and from what I've read seems to be bungs in the tailgate. I checked them and the one was dripping wet. What would you use to seal them?
Thanks gaz
