Think I may have sorted it. I took the plugs off earlier and they look fine. T he battery is flat as the alternator is almost dead. Got the battery on charge to check if it's OK.

I got my cam belt, aux belt, inlet manifold, fuel rail cover, rocker cover and spark plugs changed last week. Since I got it done it's been spot on, until yesterday. I suspect the plugs are at fault. I used Bosch Super 4 from halfords. I've changed the coil pack which has had no effect...

I haven't got an enclosed induction kit so I can't comment on those. I removed the standard airbox and fitted a green cone and must say it's made no difference, just the noise has changed
