    Truth be told I only do it when I overlap braking and downshifting otherwise it's a simple blipped and rev-matched downshift while off the brakes. If I am braking and want a downshift though, I can't not do it. A non-rev-matched downshift in any car just makes me wince/cringe.

    As above, I do it in everything, it's instinctive and takes no thought. My RS, my diesel C Max, the works Transit, all of them. Once you've bothered to learn it (which really isn't hard at all, I've no idea why so few people do, well, actually I do but that's a whole other conversation)...
