LOL
Gel overlays; what to call stickers when you're too embarrassed to say you've covered your car in, umm, stickers.
It is, and it is. I picked up a new massive transit van on Friday in shadow black. It's done 50 miles so far and looks like it's done 5,000!
When CS suggest, I have to deliver...now, to find some stairs I can safely film on...hmmmmm.
As for the interior, it is OK for what it is. It's functional and comfortable...but not something you want to boast about. Like the Fiesta ST though everything feels absolutely bang on. That's plenty...
Here we go, new engine v old engine...despite starting at the exact same point with the lines tracing each other for the first few thousand RPM, the new engine starts to move ahead as the revs increase. I'm happy enough with that!
I'm going to stick with the PSS I think. The mileage I got and the confidence they give is enough for me to stay OEM.
In other news I'm at Surrey Rolling Road today to have my new engine run.
Overlaying today with the original pre-engine failure run gives an interesting comparison. The engines...
Not yet. Pete's a merchant seaman so he's offshore quite a lot...twice now we've had to cancel dates because of the weather or him finding himself shipped away somewhere at very short notice. The current plan is June/July time.
I did, however, get to spend a good amount of time behind the wheel...
It does, more than you know.
34,034 have been built from start to end...but I couldn't comment or speculate on the FSA status in every country it was sold in!
Scary number for Ford...I reckong that's circa 25,000 cars that need a new head gasket at a minimum, maybe even a replacement head as...
Noted...it's kind of relevant for the 'community' though...although not so much now that FSA letters have started landing on door mats.
The ride is choppy! I get criticised a lot for constantly working the wheel...the reality is I'm doing no such thing...I'm just bouncing around so much that...
I can relate to this.
When telling someone I'd not met before about my car history yesterday I waxed lyrical about the RS, my ST, and my 172 Cup, and gave my Ignis Sport a notable thumbs up.
Then when I finished I realised I'd completely forgotten to mention the 200 I'd done 24,000 miles in.
I was trying out a new microphone and had no idea just how well it would capture the audio of those beasts! It sounds so good I think the GT40s and the sound they make deserve a video all on their own...
It's worth the effort if you ever get a chance to attend...zero crowds and full access...
I had a minor wobble recently when I was thinking, yep, let's get this done, FPM375...then I came to my senses and realised that it really doesn't need it, that I'd much rather leave the money in the bank, and that to the true RS fanatic that I want to sell my car to in a decade or more's...
In my defence my videos report on my love and passion for my car first and foremost! I knew it was never going to happen but I saw a tiny tiny opportunity so gave it a go.
Not even the faintest sniff! The dealership group I deal with were not allocated a single one, when I spoke to the salesman I deal with he was royally pissed off as they'd all gone to groups more closely aligned with or owned by Ford.
Nope, not me, I'm not over that way very often lately.
Truth!
So true. I rewatched RoboCop in 4K recently, a whole new level of geekery and paused up close analysis went on.
ED209 was s**t.
Completely unknown at this point. Expected to have the carbon bits, shell seats, and front LSD of the Edition models, likely to have the forged wheels as standard, hoped that it has FPM375 fitted.
It seems that I may well be in with a shout after all if it does eventually turn out to be true (many are still saying it's clearly fake)! My vlogging, love for the brand, and the fact that I'd run it as a daily and not either wrap it in cotton wool or flip it bumps me up the list a bit.
Cost...
