Hi, just swapped my wheels for some 15's off a Clio 2 ( I think) I know it needs lowering and the 195/45's don't help! Does anybody know the width of these wheels as I am guessing they are 15x6, they just seem really narrow after the standard wheels? The marking on them just seems like a number...

15's I think, 14's won't clear the front brakes.

I'd stick to 16's myself. If you don't lower it and go for 40 section tyres it might ride a bit too high. I've gone the other way and gone to 15's for cheaper tyres!

I'd stick to 205/45's too. My 195/45/15's do look decidedly weedy in comparison to stock!

A smaller profile like a 40 as opposed to a 45 would mean the wheel rotating more and making the speedo over read a bit so you would be under the speed indicated by the speedo. .

I have a Miltek and the fit is fine, there was an earlier issue with wealds failing but this was a duff batch, my whole back box was replaced without any hassle whatsoever.

I have a Milltek stainless back box for sale for around that money, it needs two welds re-welded, you could take it to Hayward and Scott in Basildon, they could weld it and make you a nice shiny new centre section and for under 200 notes you could have a full stainless system? :cool:

That £380 is for the cambelt change service - 70k or every 5 years. The aux belt servce may as well be done while your at it, if not it's every 36k/3yrs. They are the only expensive services.

JMS have prices up in the traders section. Wild variations seem common from place to place and most Renault techs hate working on 1*2s as they are a bit of a pig. I'd go with an independant specialist:cool:
