So I’m in the process of building a road legal track car and about to rewire and remove all the original wiring inc uch and ecu, but I want to keep the central locking system if possible.
Is there away of making the central locking work without the uch crap?
Ok kiddies, where is the best place to get a lightened flywheel? I’m looking to be fitting one when I swap the box and fit a new clutch.
Thanks in advance
Leaking oil ( rocker cover gasket, common fault £20) and they woman had got another car and didn’t want it anymore! As soon as the Clio is back on the road, I’ll sell it on and see if I get my money back lol
Soooooo, with the dash lighting up like a Christmas tree and the gearbox deciding to whine, the Clio is now off the road for surgery.
The plan is to change the box for a 172 cup one ( got a good condition one for a good price) fit a new clutch and seeing as I’ve got all the interior...
So I’m about to change the cog box made of cheese and I’m going to renew the clutch and flywheel( suggestions of best place to get one please)
I noticed on k-tec racing’s website that they do a group n clutch and I just wondered is it A ,worth investing in one and B, what actually is it? Is it...
I’m after a definitive answer on this on, as searching gives lots of conflicting answers, Are there any differences other than the dial surround colour?
Does it have abs light and esp/traction control lights on a cup dash ?
So last couple of days has consisted of fitting mthe Epas system and getting rid of air con pump, having a wheel alignment, new screen fitted and mot. Having new bushes, suspension, Epas and a good wheel alignment has transformed the car and feels nice and tight like it did 13 years ago!
All...

So this morning my ignition coilpack decided to split and start smoking, phoned my local dealer and got told they are no longer available! I got one from ecp and fitted it but it was only firing on 2 and 3 ( checked between coil and lead) so guessing a faulty one and have a replace, ent one...
So my cup is getting the bodywork sorted soon and whilst it’ll look awesome on the outside, the inside will look old and tired as the silver seatbelts and seats are filthy!
My question to you detailers, what is the best way to clean said items, wet vac , steam or any other method?
So local lad decided to blow his engine up at 140 mph ( so he says) and has decided to break it, saw his wheels and despite being filthy and having shitty toyo tyres on it, a deal was done and after a quod clean, they were trail fitted! I do plan on repainting the centre caps and fitting better...
This is why, I’m asking mate, I know there is more to it than a quick map. Really don’t want to use “that” Renault specialist based in Dorset but also Efi is a bloody long way away from me ( tho if it’s my only option, I’ll bite the bullet )
I’ve noticed on faceaids, there is a company called Ren-sport that can send you out a mapped ecu tailored to your car and mods (not a rs tuner) and just wondered if anybody had used them and if they are any good?
I am aware that a live map session is by far better but as a temp thing till I can...
