Do you have a picture of the lower wishbone fitted the car ? I think the bushes could have been pressed in the wrong side of the wishbone and giving you zero or negative castor.

I reckon it's the bearing that the stick runs through in the turret that isn't a tight fit, I would try stripping down the lever and centre popping the instead of the turret where the bearing sits and the same area on the stick to take up any minimal play.
