    T. Turbo is back

Ha, thats brilliant. Couldnt have come at a better time when youre trying to improve heat management. Pukka bit of kit :)

    T. Turbo is back

I'd read about Camcoat but not seen their work personally. I had my up/downpipes built in inconel and had them coated by Zircotec, which at the time was pretty state of the art. Ive seen the Thermomet stuff and its beautiful, but as you say, bloody expensive. Your other trick to use is double...

    T. Turbo is back

If you haven't already i can highly recommend getting blankets for both the turbocharger and the pair of gates, Zircotec coating, heat shielding and Nomex/Firesleeve covering fluid lines is pretty much the only way to do it properly. 99% of any turbocharged build is proper heat management, im...

Frayz's Inferno 182 - Back in the old flame

Right so I’ve got back from MST and the most they can offer me is 5%. Which isn’t a great deal, but if I’m buying them any way, money off is money off. As it stands; MST are £681 a set (£720 delivered) Ktec are £703 a set plus delivery Rally nuts are £942 a set plus delivery With 5% off from...

Frayz's Inferno 182 - Back in the old flame

Yes good bite from cold and work well. They don’t have that ultimate hard stopping that the metallic pads do as you say they’re an endurance compound, but they don’t destroy wheels and are very linear in use. Shame you’re not local mate as you would be more than welcome to try mine for feel...

Frayz's Inferno 182 - Back in the old flame

I’m using Pagid RS2 now as they’re organic so you don’t get the wear and metallic fallout from the carbon metallic pads. Massive bite, constant feel and low wear. The down side is the cost at near £300 a set but if offset that with the fact I’m not buying them as often. They’re silent all the...

Frayz's Inferno 182 - Back in the old flame

@Brigsy Isn’t the pad area smaller on the Wilwoods compared to the Brembo? Also do you get the same pad options with the Wilwood as I always imagined they would be quite limited?

Frayz's Inferno 182 - Back in the old flame

Not much to update, but i decided on the weekend to sell my Turinis. Took some pics, put them up for sale and less than 24 hours later they had been paid for and gone. (GULP - what have I done!???) I’m pretty much set on another set of X3MAs as there really isn’t anything else that fits or...

    Subaru 22b on Collecting Cars

I imagine the shorter chassis with all the group a / WRC bits on with active diffs and all the trimmings probably worked to a degree, although it was never the dominating car in competition it was supposed to be. As a road car the shorter chassis just felt horrid to me and many other Ford folk i...

    Subaru 22b on Collecting Cars

I dont hate it, its just crap to drive. Slow, doesnt handle, crap build quality, chassis didnt work as it was too short, the sierra was significantly better. Just a hugely overrated car. I get that its cool to look at and ive always been a Ford fanboy, hell ive worked for them for the last 23...

    Subaru 22b on Collecting Cars

Agreed, 22B is nothing special but the Escort Cosworth is way shitter, it wouldnt see which way a 22b went! Doing so would mean you'd have to drive the Escort and that's a disappointment you really don't want. Bolt one to the wall and look at it, best thing for it. :D

    Subaru 22b on Collecting Cars

Certain JDM imports had a 25 year hold on them. Once reaching 25 years they can be legally used in the US.

    Subaru 22b on Collecting Cars

Haha. I remember turning these down left right and centre at £25k. Didn’t want one then and don’t want it now. Fair play to anyone who has one that’s now £150k up. 😅👌🏼

197/200 Brembo Conversion - Wheel Fitment Guide

No use other than to help others, i measured the clearances on the X3MAs. EVO Corse X3MA 15x7 ET38 PMS 285mm Brembo kit with 285mm 2 piece discs. 5mm spacers (purely for aesthetics) Caliper to barrel clearance approx 3mm Caliper to spoke clearance 13mm (inc 5mm spacer) this would reduce to...

Cut out bumper brackets clio 182

Louis, I clamped the bumper to the wing and drilled a 10mm hole through both at a suitable position. Then pushed a Subaru bumper clip through them to pin the two together. It holds the bumper perfectly aligned and can be removed without issue.
