Is it the case of drilling holes yourself? Because after some reading about and a bit of a go with picks and what not it seems the only way to do it. Just dont want to damage anything. I have a rebuild kit which comes with a new circlip with holes so no problem once this one is it.
Also roads are banked so pulling left is common, especially if theres something loose the wheels will almost snap to the left, or if theres ruts they can feel like shopping trolley wheels.
inner/outer tie rods, rack bushes, rack shagged, feeling the effect of rubber in the column more so, good shout could be loose or old top mounts, lower ball joints

This in particular is just to get a reference as to how much pre load renault use on their racks from the factory. Then when the racks machined for the bigger bolts, I can build up the quick ratio gearing and have a ball park figure to use. Not majorly important...
I want to measure the amount of torque needed to turn the rack but without weld skillz Im a little lost. Will be using a beam style torque wrench.
This socket just goes on but it spins. Dont have any imperial sockets to try.

If you're looking at any rubber flooring as well, I bought a roll and it had this awful smell of chemicals that I dont think is healthy be near for longer than 5 seconds, just to bare in mind!
@MR2FC Have you thought about solid top mounts? Adjustable ones as well? Bc racing do some for a good price, I cant comment on them with just springs because I went to coilovers at the same time, but I know Ive read people say that they dont make the ride harsh or anything so worth a look.
