Well, my Christmas has come early.

Absolutely blown away with the work done (JF Bodyworks). I dont really want to post these pictures as the AWFUL (and wrong) state of the wheels really take away from the hard work, but the paint is just so good I cant help...
No idea. From what I’m told it arrived like a box of cereal.
Car is now done anyway, collection tonight and then I’ll finish it off over winter if I ever get time from work! Lol

As much as I loved my old MK1 Driver, they are a bit of a buzz box. Its remarkable how much more solid and refined the MK2 is! You can actually daily it, it'll sit at 90mph without blowing your ears out (or trying to kill you..)
Golf should be out of the paintshop next week, now having a bit of a nightmare trying to find someone that will refurb steel wheels. After thats done, shes pretty much there.
To add to the fun, I ended up driving to north Norfolk yesterday for one part! Too awkward to post, and theyre thin on...
Unfortunately not, just happens to be the same year as my Golf and kept at the same storage place!
You and me both mate!
Absolutely love it. It's everything I love about GTIs, just with a load more tech thrown at it. Done way too many miles in it already! But it beats driving an old shitter to...
A few things have changed in the last few months, but the Golf laid fairly unchanged for some time.

Since the last update, I've had a few areas of rust sorted out. Mainly those around the rear floor, and rear arches. They didn't warrant as much repair as...
Again I'm the opposite on that one lol
I've found the step from the MK5 rather large, but what impresses me is it feels more towards the MK2 to drive than the MK5 did. A much more pointy nose and lively back end!
Absolute beaut! I very nearly went for the Diesel, but I veered off at the last...
I get each to their own but I'm the opposite, I've never understood whats not to like about a GTI. Then again I seem to be hoarding them so maybe I'm bias, I just think they're perfect all rounders.
They're gone at the moment. Keep an eye on sites like central uk vehicle leasing, gateway2lease etc. the lease car thread on PH is a goldmine:

This, you're essentially paying the depreciation. Although most of the time it works out less, and therefore sort of works out. It's only a daily so im not that bothered about owning it and works out well.
These are the deals i tried to get in April, only didnt see any this cheap myself! That is pretty insane, i take it back they did exist it seems! I nearly ended up going £2500 down and £280 a month but glad the lease company involved were useless and I stuck out for my deal lol
It would've cost £220 with about £2200-2400 down for me to get the R when I got my GTI, but I prefer the GTI personally so was happy it's finally cheaper. For ages its only been R's on deal!
Yes that sounds about right!
Yeah as said, they're staggering the releases over the quarters. Good...
The only deals ive seen close were £2k down and about £150pm on 10k. They released this officially so a certain youtuber could get one cheap I think only 1 deal of that went through.... thats all ill say.
I feel like you must've misread, or it was a misprint (which is common). That'd work out...
Correct
Incorrect
VERY Incorrect, diamond cut?!
I still have 2 cars and 2 bikes I own, so leasing the daily made sense. When I buy a place that'll go down to 2 cars at max, maybe even just this lease jobby. It's just the norm now to me, and with it being so cheap its a no brainer!
The headline quotes are usually for 5k a year and + VAT, or a business rate that. So it'd be £109, plus 20% for VAT so lets say around £125 but usually more for personal over business customers. Then instead of having 9+23 they slap the £2k deposit on. Then the overcharge fee is higher for going...
Yeah this was that deal (I think around £119-129 though?) but by the time you gave it proper mileage you're bumped up.

Pretty sure all the ex Wolfrace employees have fled to most major manufacturers, and took their diamond cutting machines with them.
I know right? Man maths was easy.
Cheers! I have seen one, and thats a neighbour who seems to have new VW's every other month (Assume he works for them). Given that its the base colour, and they flung a few of these deals out I'm sure they'll get regular soon!
Another Jason "New car thread". I got a little tired of driving old shitters to and from work, and a little tempted by these lol lease deals you see flying around. One thing sort of led to another, and after a few months wait, I took delivery of this:
MK7.5 Golf GTI, 5 Door, "Rubin Black"...
Well I've had some fun in this the past few weeks. Decided to drive the thing down to Lake Como in Italy for a much needed holiday, given the amount of hours I'm doing at present I was really looking forward to the 5 days in an expensive hotel, but equally was looking forward to seeing how the...
A lot of people say this but I do notice the difference with proper wanker bolts lol. Less likely to round off with the snap on sockets/spanners as I find the fit a lot nicer.
Personally have a mix of Snap-On and Halfords in a way too expensive Snap-On toolbox. Now i'm off the tools I feel it may have been a waste, but do enjoy having decent tools to work with. For the fully stocked kits, I dont think you can beat Teng on the value though! But will say the Halfords...
