The leak appears to be fixed but i still have the starting issue to sort , managed to get it to start 3 times then nothing , pretty sure there is a bad wire somewhere
I did disconnect the sensors and reconnected but if a sensor was bad that would come up as a fault surely. Wonder who it was who had a similar issue ,i cant remember if i had issues when i did it in the past initially. Annoying , these clio's are testing my patience 😤
Ive used the software on my old iceberg and bled all 4 , i had a feeling i had to go out the software and reconnect everytime but tried that aswell , rear righy it will activate but any other comes up with an error , im using a pressure bleeder , i know you need 15 psi or above which i have
Did you sort this ? Im getting an error when trying to activate any of the actuators apart from rear right , comes up with an error before the actuators does anything 🙄
Received my new thermostat housing from @Kev@KAM hoping this solves the leak. Torqued them to 11nm , scared im going to snap one of the m6 bolts !
Stripping down for new gasket.
New Gasket in place , fingers crossed this fixes the leak 😬
Only have one car battery curently which was fitted...
Im just looking to uprgrade from KW V2'S, currently im thinking of the bc's with 10/8 kg springs , i know the Gaz golds look good as a proper rear coilover. I know everyone raves AST but dont want to pay 2k for suspension on a car that may do 4-5 trackdays a year
Not much done this weekend , waiting for a replacement gasket for the thermostat housing, should be here monday.
In the meantime i fitted a replacement crank sensor and loom and i think this has solved the starting issue , well it turned over fine so fingers crossed.
Also decided to try my new...
Yeah will get it fitted on the weekend , i had to fit one on my old clio
Thats good to know , whats the best method for doing it ! Ive found in the past the renault wire impossible to solder !
Its definitely either the crank sensor wiring or thermostat sensor as if i disconnect both of them the car then turns over and starts. I do have a new sensor and cabling to try and the temp sensor wiring looks to have been repaired.
James no it didnt start with the loom that came with the car. It had been chopped out and didnt have a connection for fly by wire , i got a spare loom with my othet clio but noticed the loom connector for the rear loom was different so i bought a interior loom and rear loom of somebody from...
Installed a replacement interior loom and rear loom as these had been chopped by previous , the immobiliser light wasnt going out and also noticed i wasnt getting engine management light coming on then off. I couldnt hear the fuel pump prime either.
Swapped both looms and immobiliser light goes...
Repaired one of the threads tonight on the thermostat housing as i noticed an oil leak when i got the car started !
All fitted back in place and bolted up.
Still have the starting issue ! Car is not even attempting to turn over again ! Immobiliser flashes and goes of with the key but the...
Need to sort this out , the car was not running the standard clocks , just cheap guages and a phone holder for Gps speed i guess.
The standard clocks dont sit right at the moment so just got them cable tied to the dash support , will have to see what i can do to make them sit better within...
Fitted replacement interior loom , i now have a main beam light on the dash , the other loom didnt do this so must be a dodgy wire somewhere !
Connected to the existing rear loom and still couldnt hear the fuel pump prime so i fitted the spare one , i did find an earth on the interior loom...
