The Red Lion also got recommended elsewhere too Oli, so it sounds promising, and yes, it's for a 'faggy' Trophy meet, although I'm not convinced all 500 will be able to make it ;)
Can anyone suggest a good pub for a meet in the Gaydon / Leamington / Stratford-upon-Avon area?
The Heritage Motor Centre at Gaydon is an option but they might not be able to cater for us if everyone won't commit to paying the £12 museum entrance fee.
The pub needs to have a decent sized car...
You're statistically more likely to crash a 1*2 and if you do your premium next year will be massive. I vote for another year's driving experience and spend the money elsewhere or save it...
Arranging somewhere for ~100 cars to meet and convoy in together will be a logistical nightmare so as Bobby said, just tag onto one of the regional convoys - there must be a few coming from Wales you can hook up with.
Spotted today (Monday 15 July) at around 2pm.
You were heading towards the M4 Hungerford junction having come from the Newbury/Great Shefford direction.
The sun was shining and your car looked stunning. LY has always been a bit marmite for me but it looked sublime.
A couple of small upgrades to #455 were added this weekend, courtesy of Budgie/Failsport.
First up, a pair of Xenon headlights, something I've wanted for some time now but I've only just got round to sourcing some. I don't anticipate needing to use them for a while yet but I'm pleased they're...
Plus if you take it to Mike @ S&MWM you can have it on Surrey Rolling Road's dyno. It's independent and Charlie is well respected!
Kyle - you know it makes sense, especially given some of the potentially worrying mapping issues seen on cars similar to yours, if you know what I mean. Checking...
Nope - it's out on loan at the mo but with only 1 set out of 8 done so far, and an aching hand/wrist (more so than usual) I'll definitely be trying that method on the remaining 7 prints.
Cheers fella
Today's update - it's not a sticker at all, as Meek quite rightly stated, it's just printed on top of the lacquer. As a result I've shifted it using SRP and a lot of elbow grease!
What speeds do you reckon you were getting up to before you had to brake?
Personally I reckon you should have smoked him. Ever thought of some driver training, I'm sure there are some schools out there that specialise in urban driving skills - standing starts being their USP.
A little update - I've tried using clay for a minute or two on a small section of the logo and the clay instantly turned blue, which suggests to me that there is no lacquer covering the printed-on graphic.
When I've got some more time I'll carry on with the clay but are there any other products...
