    The XBox One Thread

We moved from a One, to a One S back in November (Black Friday deal). Not a huge difference to be honest. No massive power brick, and a smaller unit as you said. Reverted back to a traditional "push" type power button on the front on the console. We did get a 4K telly at the same time. If you...

    Project: Nick Frost 172

Yeah, I realised that after speaking to @dann2707 about his, but I kinda like how snuggly it fitted. Plus the bolts were £1.50 for a pack of 25.

Sister and the kids went home a couple of days ago so inbetween other jobs I found some time for the car. First of all, started on the horrendous job of removing the roof tar. What a b*****d... Then that was followed by the frightening job of putting the aerocatches in the bonnet...

Front Anti Roll Bar Fitting Tips

Like Budgie said, no need to replace them. It was a b*****d of a job whilst on the car too.

    Which cage now?

Sounds like yours is the international multi-point cage. The clubman 6 point MSA cage like I have doesn't connect to the turret and doesn't require the extra work for the loom.

    Project: Nick Frost 172

Today I popped to Halfords to get some heater hose. Last bit I needed to finish off the coolant hoses. Need to get some edging to go round the hole the hoses pass thru, to stop them rubbing and splitting. (Yes, there's a couple of jubilee clips to go on too) Also cracked on with the doorcards...

Few more little bits done in the little free time I've had over the weekend so far. Started to remove the tar patches from the scuttle panel. After mounting the switches in the centre of the dash, I decided to locate my Hazard switch on the right-hand side. The EPAS adjuster will also be...

    Adam's 172 Turbo Build

As said, goes to the acoustic valve. Pull it all out and you can get a nice silicone end cap to put on it off eBay for a quid or 2.

    Steath weight reduction

I and no doubt others have weighed various bits, so if you search the forums there'll be some figures thrown up. Think the sound deadening tar crap weighed about 14kg, and that was just what's on the floor. There's still the panels on roof and in the scuttle panel. I've had my loom modified...

Well it's been a while, and progress has slowed a bit lately. Got the battery cage position sorted. Also got the T7 heater; which will be my screen demister, mounted on the underside of the bulkhead. Also got my switches positioned on the top dash. Keeping it simple, so blue = blower...

    Carpet / underlay replacement

Where abouts Claire? You need to be careful of things like the pedal box in the driver's footwell. I think the foam goes a fair way up behind the dash from memory (I should know as I stripped mine out), but can't be 100% sure. Did you find where the leak was from? Blocked scuttle drains are...

Looking for advise on the best route to take for a track car - 172 cup

And considering what yours was up for, it makes sense. Mine has cost me more than that, in buying and converting to a track toy. That's with the car costing less than £400 to buy, and selling bits off it.

    Weekend toy, what you got?

Driven it more than my weekend toy, which I've not actually driven at all. 😂
