Good news! The cable for the bonnet release was actually still there, so gave it a good tug (Ooo errr), and was able to open the bonnet! Unfortunately, it was late and dark, and my enthusiasm to stay outside for any longer was very shortlived. Lighter nights soon, and an itching to get this...

@HMS Derv Destroyer knows a bit about the tuning potential on these I think? Not sure how much further you can push them without some serious wedge - and at that point, you're better of getting a more powerful car (Megane 175 DCI for example). There's loads of Mk3 threads though if you search...

Welcome! Never seen a mk3 with matched leather - and especially with leather doorcards. Has it been mapped?

Yeah, bonnet was open initially. It was removed prior to being taken away to have the cage welded in (and the handle inside the car is in the way of the front upright, so needed to come out). I'll try the screwdriver trick. Otherwise, it might be a good excuse for a fibreglass bonnet....

Right, back on topic. It would appear that when the car was delivered back to me, the bonnet was shut - makes sense. However, in my eagerness to strip the car, the bonnet release handle & cable was removed..... And now I can't open the bonnet.... D'oh! Any pointers? Edit: Front bumper is...

I read there's a specific mission you can do, and a secret area full of taken baddies to kill off, but wasn't sure whether you can just run it now as a normal mission (previously it had to be the daily mission I believe in order for it to work). http://destiny.wikia.com/wiki/Black_Spindle
