The 993 is a GT2. A homologation model made in period so they could compete the car in a particular GT Series. Basically, its a RWD 430bhp Turbo charged mental f**king thing and I love it.
Thanks :) Yes the XJ220 is something special. That one in particular is a lovely spec. Shame the interior of the Auction room didnt lend itself for good photos!
Those of you into your trackdays probably see Silverstone pop up, and you'd be right in thinking some of their days are quite pricey. These seem to attract a certain clientele, and if I know there's one on I've started trying to pop in for a good look around. There are usually some quite exotic...
Those are the lights I want. £300 is a tad steep mind you...
Edit: They may be the TOM's ones actually, which are a lot more 😧
What do we think of this? http://www.fensport.co.uk/Parts/Model_108/Category_13/5095
Wow those are some fantastic photos! Is that the same Escort RST that did a wee allover the track? haha
Don't think I got any of the DC5 Sorry :(
I loved that car. My earliest memory of being in a car is my dads old Saab 900 Turbo.
Took the GT86 to its first little event. PistonHeads hold their Sunday Service's in a variety of locations, but since this was down the road I got my name on the list fast. Although I was tempted to get track time, I think I'll save its track virginity for Bedford where I have more room to run...
And thats what the GT86 does so well. It's not just sticking space savers on a car, its getting the right balance. And it's prefect. The feel of the thing is just fantastic.
As above. But it still has grip, low weight and good brakes (plus ABS, Traction Control etc. etc.). So there is no...
Clio 200: 215 Nm
GT86: 205 Nm
It's hardly a yawning gap. But I admit, there's a flatspot mid range that can catch you out if you're used to Turbo stuff. But now I'm in swing with the car, I know when to drop down and keep it in the power band. To me, there seems to be decent power at the bottom...
Remember, I'm a child of the VW StanceUSDM SIK BRUV scene ;) This has been one of the options for a while, and I probably will when I can be bothered! haha. We need to re-do Zi's Z3 rears if he ever gets the car back on the road, as they have faded. So will probably do mine at the same time...
Cheers! haha well spotted.
You can, but due to the unique way aftermarket parts for Japanese Cars, they are f**king expensive. These are the cheapest option:

Oooft! Like the black too. Cosworth do a good 15bhp N/A package i may consider in the future. As I said, right now its ticking all my boxes. The beauty of this car is its begging to be tinkered with so when I do get bored there's something for me to do!

I think you are right. I took a brand new 15 Plate out, and it felt no difference to this. So in my head I thought "Why get a new one?" In total, this one has done 25,000 miles and is 3 years old. It cost me about £15,000. I always knew, from when they were new, that I would probably wait and...
Agreed. There were 2 Bugatti EB110's in the Public show area, and I dont think I've ever seen on up close. The silver one had the engine which set the Production car Speed record at the time as well. Fantastic cars.
I totally agree. I just think it was in response to people calling it slow mainly. But as said, not really about the 0-60 or 'Ring lap times. More about putting a huge huge smile on my face! (Which it does).
Due to the lack of internet I havent had a chance to post these photos up. However, a few weeks ago I went to the Salon Privé event, at Blenheim Palace for the first time. Since I live up the road, it'd be rude not to. The public show ground, and the "Parades" (Read as: Cars hooning it through...
People keep saying this, and all the reviews said it. But I rarely see it dip below 30. Only if I really REALLY thrash it. My commute this morning was high 30's, so its a little bit better than the Skoda in traffic on Fuel. Not that this car is about MPG, but its pleasantly surprised me!
Someone in the same boat as me then! I think I'd have to get some wheels the same width and some cheapo tyres to ensure its easier to have on the limit. I'd rather have the car a bit playful on track than out-and-out Grip.
