I've always liked them, but was fully ready to be disappointed with it when I took it for a test drive. The reviews are either "Best thing since sliced bread" or "needs more mid range power". Fortunately, I seem to be in the former camp. haha!
And here lies my Dilemma! Do I want more grip? Or will that leave me wanting more power? They do look awesome lowered with some chunky rubber!
Yeah, its one of those cars though. It will always divide opinion. Maybe in a few years when they start dipping below £5k a few people will convert? Who...
It's grown up for my standards! haha
Yeah I understand your point. It is a bit odd to me that they didn't even add a small low pressure turbo to at least give it some more mid range (although apparently a map makes it better).
It's just as economical as my GTI was, so I'm happy with that. As for the leaving behind thing... I guess I've grown out of all that? The big turbo Hot Hatch still puts a smile on my face, dont get me wrong, but I dont go around trying to prove myself against other cars. As said, this car isn't...
The thing is in modern standards 1200kg is light. The Audi TT is (as ever) Based on a VAG platform, and the new platform its based on probably the lightest they've ever produced. However, its still a VERY expensive way of making a fast A3/S3 less practical. Whereas the GT86 is a LOT cheaper, and...
I already have a n L Reg Kawazaki GPZ500, for L2 Licensing purposes!
Over 8 Seconds? Not sure where those times are coming from. Pretty sure the book figure is somewhere around 7.5. If you look at all the properly fun Sports cars, or at least old british ones, it follows that formula. Light...
Not many plans right now, I plan on keeping this one a while though so that can/probably will change soon! Currently trying to do my bike license as well, so thats taking up a fair bit of time and money!
Cheers! Oh yes, very slippy. But it feels a lot less snappy than the MX5 I had. A lot easier to catch in the wet or dry. In the wet its ludicrously tail happy, but still only if you provoke it. It seems to have a good balance in that I can commute to work in comfort but on a couple of...
Well, I had to change at some point didnt I? Although I was gutted to see the little Skoda go, I'm glad DrRollo on here is happy with it. That car was fantastic for me, but for a while now I've been toying with a newer or new car. Something with warranty, something I wont get bored of.
So...
Fantastic photos! I often find myself trawling through vintage racing pics on obscure blogs (often reblogging them on my own tumblr: www.tyredformat.com).
Terrible pictures as I had no time to take proper ones after I finished yesturday, and I'm too hungover today. But after a full detail and a going over with the Rotary (Scholl S17+ with a Medium Cut pad, and Menzerna Super Finish with a Finishing pad), and sealed with Dodo Juice Supernatural...
Meh. The longest car I owned was my Mk5 GTI. This reminds me of it in many ways, probably because it is a GTI with a boot. Quite liking it at the moment but we shall see.
Finally have some brakes again, and also fitted my new Whiteline adjustable rear anti roll bar. To use a tired old cliche, it has "transformed the car".
So to those asking costs, I've worked out that (between us) we spent around £1600. Thats Hotels, Fuel, Toll roads, Ferries. But not spending money etc.
Hello there.
My SSD is too small. Always has been, and I'm sick of it. Since it's 2 years old in December I could either change for a new one, or upgrade the hard drive. I'd prefer to just upgrade the drive in here. Just wondering whats compatible with these things now?
Cheers.
First off, it's a go pro on a pole. There's a difference. I've also had it ages, which makes me edgy and cool.
As for the Mrs, I punted the idea to her and she immediately was interested. After I showed her videos and photos from the last one she was completely sold. She loved the whole thing...
Thanks all. Was really one to remember.
We stayed in hotels, I booked them all a few weeks before we went away. The only place different was Sicily, where we stayed in her cousins house out there.
As for costs, I'll let you know. Still trying to tot it all up now (waiting for stuff to leave...
I wanted a yellow one with low miles, and got this at a silly price so I was very lucky! And its been good to me, I enjoy it a lot. Its basically the car the MK4 Golf GTI should've been plus added boot! haha.
Okay, so where to begin? Maybe two years ago. Because it was during that summer, me and 3 friends jumped in an Audi A4 and drove around Europe. We Visited the South of France, Monaco, Milan, Lake Como, The Stelvio Pass, Munich and more. It was a fantastic holiday, and upon seeing some Pictures I...
You seem to be doing a me. That is buying a cheap "Stop gap" or "Runaround" car, then getting obsessed with tidying it up haha. Always had a soft spot for these! Keeping an eye on this one.
It is a marvellous thing, it allows TOTALLY HILARIOUS friends full control of your fuel cap opening.
Oh, I was at a friends and saw this in his garage. And, well...
Not sure where to start really. You know when a car has too many "Niggles" and you're just adding them all up in your head and its getting you down? Like every time I drove it I had that. Plus the fact that they are hideously flawed cars anyway. Really do put my research in when buying cars, so...
