It's pretty expensive for a track day, you can tell from my previous threads with the stuff that usually shows up. I love it, it's my local track so I guess I gotta. Some very fast corners that in the right car you can flow round nicely.
Cheers! Its amazing how much better wheels are when they don't have a tacky diamond cut/ black insert finish. All car manufactures are falling into this trap at the moment.
I love these things. When I was about 14/15 I convinced my dad to start looking at Alfas. He took one of these out and I remember thinking how cool it was! Ended up having 2 159's (2.4's) and I absolutely loved them.
In summary, you've made a fantastic choice sir. Your ED30 looked good too!
Yeah, they are truly awful. But like you said, it doesn't need messing with! I may drop it 35mm and put different wheels on it at some point... maybe.
Fits the A2 license requirements (with a restrictor) quite well! It was actually a birthday present from my Mum/StepDad. My Dad isn't too keen...
Thought I'd update this.
I haven't really done anything to the car, I've just been enjoying it. It's done remarkably well dealing with day to day duties. Over Christmas, it made a great backup Sleigh for Santa...
Visited Goodwood... toilets....
I had to swap it for this to go down to...
Yep and yep! I usually beat the Google time, but I add an extra couple of hours on for stops etc.
The last trip my route back was 3 days of 12 hour drives, Its doable but I was broken at the end!
Looks like a nice route there.
Planning is the key, and throw most of your budgeting out the window. You'll always spend more. You can account for hotels, ferries and the like but fuel prices vary and you always end up spending more to have fun.
This thread has some broken links, at the bottom...
Cavalier 4x4 Turbo, Silverstone. by Jason.Easton, on Flickr
Thanks! And good eye. The owner tells us its got around 400bhp, with a sorted diff set up so its 4x4 system is running a 50:50 split.
Awesome! IIRC the story with the Clio is he bought the press car off Renault when they were done with it? It's in great nick considering it's hard use.
I've done threads like these before, where I basically go up to Silverstone when a friend is tracking and go around being a creepo with a Camera. there wasn't too much interesting today, it is a Winter TD after all.
Was pretty wet on track, got a chance to go out in my friends FD2 which has...
Thats exactly what I was getting at in my original post mate. Reminded me of this:
But yeah, last time I went for a peep in a month or two ago they had about 3. All hidden away in the service area. (One was quite a unique flip paint, pretty cool).
It's hard to believe, but I wont go as far as calling bullshit!
Anyway, I'm sure if you had to you'd be able to get the right oil. Especially if it was a V10 R8...
Are you sure you know how to check oil mate haha? That M52 is a thirsty engine for it. Mine drunk about half a liter every other month, and I was told that was a "Surprisingly low amount" by most BMW owners lol. But fair play I guess! Mine was on 130k+ (E46 330ci).
I'll be honest, me sharing the video has only funded him more... But yeah I am a bit skeptical about how much he's made from Youtube, although I know it'll be quite a bit! Fair play to the guy, I just wonder how long it'll last.
As for the oil @Cribert. Clearly never owned a 3.0 BMW! haha.
I've been told this guy earns a pretty decent packet doing videos on Youtube of him playing games.
I got linked this Vlog video, of him having trouble topping up his R8 with oil. It's quite a painful watch. Also worth skipping to the bit towards the end where he visits McLaren Ascot and shows...
Agree'd. In my opinion flying is quite a bit boring in comparison. You just get to see a country more driving through it.
(Sorry to sound like a student whos just got back from a Gap Year)
HOLY BUMP BATMAN
I realise that a lot of these links died as I used facebook ones, so I made a PostImage gallery.

Also, here is the video I made.
Time to get your holiday sorted for 2016....
Love these. My Dad had an old 900 Turbo as a kid, I really do need to try one out for myself!
Whats the power like from standard with just a remap? I remember not long ago looking at 9-5 HOT Aeros and they had similar issues due to the wrong oil being used.
So Update:
First off, we have rang other providers (such as BT). However, the issue is the developer (Dorchester) currently own all the roads. And as such, the entire infrastructure in place is basically a "See the light" one. Until all of the building is complete and they hand all the roads...
So 99.9% of Fibre Optic internet on the Market is only fibre up to your street/cabinet, then its standard copper to your door. This is fibre all the way from the exchange to your house. Therefore "IN THEORY" the most reliable, and definitely the fastest possible. It means you get your phone over...
Evening all, figured there may be some people in the business of interwebzzz and IT. The bold bits are the main points of note, the bits in between are the reasoning...
Basically we moved into a new build at the start of September. The Developers (Dorchester Living) told us we have FTTP...
So the new update hasn't fixed the controller disconnect issues for me. And now my TV Playback is awful and jittery, I have to go into another app entirely and come back out for it to start playing smooth again. And as for youtube, it's completely unwatchable. It's like watching a f**king...
