Frayz's Inferno 182 - Back in the old flame

If our little one hadn’t just come along I think the devastation of it would have really got me down. She provided all the distraction I needed just at the right time. I’m too old to worry about stuff like that anymore. Just make your peace and move on. Now I have my old 182 to dick about...

Frayz's Inferno 182 - Back in the old flame

Broke it for parts last year after a 14 year ownership. Not the ending I would have wanted but it’s happened for various reasons out of my control and I was left with a basically an impossible situation with it. This happened right as our little girl arrived and frankly I decided I wasn’t...

Frayz's Inferno 182 - Back in the old flame

Yep, Passionford since it started pretty much. Impreza was on most forums inc Scoobynet, NASIOC, Pistonheads, here as well as a few others. Also on MiniTorque for the brief period I owned the shitbox GP lol

    Yet another track shot!

    Love that 👌🏼

    Car covers

They have 3 straps, one front and rear and one in the middle. My car is parked in a very sheltered area and it has only slightly flapped about in bonkers winds. It’s quite a weighty almost neoprene kind of weight and lies well on the car.

    Power Tool Perverts

Just picked up a new 14.4v Microlithium CT761 3/8 gun and 2 batteries. I’m only a hobbyist mechanic these days, so should be fine for me. Not used it yet, but it’s nice and compact so looking forward to it. The big boy 1/2 DeWalt is great but it’s a cumbersome unit for smaller jobs. These are...

    182FF Inferno Turbo

All 3 of my mounts are new OEM but I’ve always been tempted by the VT mounts. I had VT mounts on my Mini GP and they were pretty harsh on that.

    182FF Inferno Turbo

I’m tempted by some VT mounts. Would you say there’s much more NVH in the cabin now?

Frayz's Inferno 182 - Back in the old flame

Back on topic. After 127k miles my original climate panel was still perfectly functional but the button logos had worn quite badly. Pickup a spare climate panel from a member which was still a sticky sport item but I was going to steal the buttons from it because they were mint. When I stripped...

    Car covers

Same as above. Classic Additions do the stretchy almost soft Lycra style covers you’re after. My old man has a couple for his cars in the garage and they’re superb.

This^^^ You other boys crack on with all the YouTubestagramers, not my bag, i just dont have time for it. I'd rather read some proper stuff in print by people i respect or do my own thing. :)

    £10k RB 182 (Motorsport)

My cars more track ready than that and it takes me to work every day. 😅

Frayz's Inferno 182 - Back in the old flame

I will openly admit I’m taking without having seen any of their content. However I just don’t do YouTubers as I just don’t find any of the crap on their valid. Nor am I interested in their projects or opinions as I don’t respect any of them. I’ll watch someone like Chris Harris, Jethro...

Got my winter Speedlines back from Karl @ Rim Renov8 in Colchester tonight. Superb job, wheels are mega sparkly, nicely finished and the Speedline logos are paint not decals so they’re perfect and under the lacquer.

Only the Sanremo Corse in a 16 in our fitment mate which is very very similar to a Ultraleggera.

Frayz's Inferno 182 - Back in the old flame

I have a rule of not watching these YouClowns mate. I don’t respect any of the crap 99.99999% of them do so won’t even click on em. 😅

Frayz's Inferno 182 - Back in the old flame

Probably still look better than Ultras would on it. 😅

    Do they come in anthracite?

Frayz's Inferno 182 - Back in the old flame

Actually got to wait for them to be painted, theyre machined but need painting, then shipped direct to me from Italy. Should be about 14 days or so.

Frayz's Inferno 182 - Back in the old flame

If you want a track only rim and you dont care for the aesthetics, you wont get a better bang for buck than the UL.
  26. frayz

Frayz's Inferno 182 - Back in the old flame

Still 2kg off the Enkei which bothers me more! The UL is the easy choice, cheap, easily available, easy to replace, light. Just think they dont look fantastic and positively would look bloody awful on my car.:sick::sick: Still ones a circuit rim, ones a tarmac rally rim. Paid for em now...

Frayz's Inferno 182 - Back in the old flame

Pretty much, its all offset dependant and the manufacturers claim weight on their highest offset with least material. But yeah i guess as near as dammit the same as a Pro Race 1.2. (200g ish) Ive added them to the table i had so people can see if they wish :) Wheel Size Weight kg Approx cost...

Frayz's Inferno 182 - Back in the old flame

About 3kg less a piece than the 2118s currently fitted.

Frayz's Inferno 182 - Back in the old flame

My Turinis are silver so as a contrast I’ve gone anthracite.
  30. frayz

Frayz's Inferno 182 - Back in the old flame

Exactly that, you dont notice because youre just used to it. Nothing bad in that, you just have nothing to compare it to. Weight is my only reason. By that i should be buying some cheap, readily available Ultraleggeras at 5kg and be done with it, but theyre ugly imo. Likewise i could have gone...
