    Car covers

I researched this heavily when looking for a cover for my Cayman Andy. The best ive seen and found are the ultimate outdoor covers from Classic Additions. They offer fully tailored which are bespoke cut to your car and circa £400, then they offer semi fitted for around £160. These are cut to...

Frayz's Inferno 182 - Back in the old flame

They all are. It seems there arent that many luntics looking to spend that much on a set of 15" Clio wheels. I cant imagine for the life of me that im the only one :D

Frayz's Inferno 182 - Back in the old flame

Funny you say that, i looked at some of the Titan offerings a few weeks ago and again, nothing there i thought would really suit the car and big money by time i get them landed here in good old Blighty. I have to say my favourite of the silly expensive stuff are some custom forged billet wheels...

Frayz's Inferno 182 - Back in the old flame

The Braids are what they call “Flowcast” but having spoken to them they’re just low press cast and heat treated. Braid UK say the flowformed wheels are only the larger sized rims. The EVO Corse I believe are similar but use A356-T6 alloy. Both are European manufactured and said to be...

Frayz's Inferno 182 - Back in the old flame

Ha, im always quite suprised at the comments i receive regarding the condition of the underside. I really dont do anything special with it. It gets driven every day and washed every week, i usually give the underside a quick rinse, with the jet wash but nothing serious. Im pleased at how well...

Theyre a bloody good looker arent they. I like the silver too but as my Turinis are silver too, this does tend to push me towards the anthracite just to have a contrast. Just love that deep centre barrel on them :)

Can only go off what I’ve been told so far mate. Perhaps I’ll give MS Motorsport a call and see if I can get a set in the pipeline. Thanks for the heads up. I’ve always liked them, they’re a beautiful wheel and Actually quite similar in spoke design to the wheels on my Cayman. Fun fact -...

Frayz's Inferno 182 - Back in the old flame

Agree on Braid being good guys in the UK. Spoke with Richard and Jonny today. Nick is the main guy for the Clio fitments so they prefer me to go through him. Nicks away till the 1st September so will probably give him a bell then. ATS main agent in the UK is Alex @ AP Motorsport who I’ve been...

Frayz's Inferno 182 - Back in the old flame

So the wheels hunt continues, and have had the news this morning that the ATS DTC are 100% not available. ATS have closed their motorsport dept and as the wheels are made to order, stocks are not kept. My only chance for a set is now a used set. One of my favourite parts of the 2118s is they...

    Trophy #057

That’s the thing with a Porsche of any flavour really. So useable, unless you need a dog wagon, or towing vehicle, they really cover all bases.

I’m not getting involved. I’ve been looking for wheels solidly for almost a month and still found nothing I’m 100% happy with.

Nice to see a Clio on something other than 2118, Turinis or TDs to be fair.

    Tried to go 200mph today.

Good mate of mine has an ESS tuned 997 Turbo which is about 750 at the wheels. He’s always at these, his name is Tom, cars black with orange stripes. His best run last year was 211mph I think. Im still yet to do a Vmax day, but they look great fun. 🙂

Frayz's Inferno 182 - Back in the old flame

Cheers chaps. This was the finish I was after but really didn’t want to cut up either the Orbisoud or my BTM to achieve it. I have to say I’m really pleased with its fit, finish and sound. I think it sounds as purposeful as it looks. The Orbisoud was the best sounding Clio pipe I’d heard and I...

    Ash’s Clio 182 Trophy

I’ve had the privilege of watching this car and it’s details come together over the coming weeks and the finished result is nothing short of outstanding. The OEM plaques really set it off as if it had come from the factory with the PPs fitted. These are the details so few people are prepared...
