Thank you, really appreciate the reply. So with that in mind having the Spax setup would I have to contact them direct to see whether they offer something different?
I thought I'd post this as I remember them offering a bespoke service

I have the Spax full coilover setup and well aware of the product problems. Maybe I should rephrase the question to try and get a simple lamens terms answer (if possible)
Regardless of damper make and damper stiffness, what poundage spring would be close for spirited drives and the odd...
Mentions spring rates regarding the Spax full coilover setup, how would this hold up on the odd track day?

A straightforward fit :o :D I then need to reset the damper stiffness and ride height, I should have measured the clicks and the thread adjuster on the old units before they went away as it felt pretty stable before they failed. It was all set up properly by the previous owner so now I'm...
Well worth keeping hold of the invoices when you buy parts, Spax have a 2 year warranty and have to say they've gone above what I was expecting in terms of customer service
So, just to recap I have the full Spax coilover setup on the PB, the rear damper unit was leaking so I had them taken off last Thursday and replaced with a temporary spring and damper setup. They were then sent to Spax on Monday and assumed they'd just rebuild the old units, so I was pleasantly...
Thanks Cub. The more I think about it the more I love the fact I've done it for so many reasons. It can be driven everyday like it's never been converted but know it's there instantly when I put my foot down, and does it very quickly but progressively. It's a 2nd car to me, I've not driven it...
You know how much I love this car and the work gone into this Scott, but i'll say it again....... Just frikking amazing, ok the alternator $hit out but you know what it is and you're like almost there, almost. Soo nice to see it back on it's wheels.
Another small job I did on the breather filter for the hose that comes off the inlet, I don't like the chrome so I primed and VHT painted it.

Thanks Scott and Incey, it's such a hoot to drive. You treat it as a daily but know when you press on when needed it's right there. The breather filter I ordered has been delivered so I can sort that out, and when I hit 1k miles after the conversion I'll give it an oil and filter change again.
+1
Pretty much mirrors the trips friends and I do every year since 2007. It's a place that every petrol head just has to visit. Cracking photos, I never tire of the machinery that turns up at Nurburgring. We're heading out there the end of July
7 Days
707 miles
35.1 MPG average
So it's been a week since picking up the Clio, for some reason the supercharger feels much better the more miles I put on it. After the long drive back last Saturday (234 miles) it sat at home until Thursday when I drove it to work then up to Harlow with Rob...
Saturday 31st May: D Day, picking up the Clio from Chris at EFI Parts.
So after 3 months from starting the conversion it's now time to pick up the Clio from EFI parts in Runcorn. 2 weeks ago I had the task of taking the Clio up to Runcorn to have the Adaptronic ECU wired into the OE loom and...
Projects cars always do Scott, it's a constant test of character with the amount of things that need doing 1 thing after another. For me it helped to write everything down on paper so i had something to refer too all the time. It never ends, there's always something to do :D
Was nice to meet a few faces behind the forum names last night, quite a few people turned up at Tescos. As said it was a shame the seafront was busy so the parking spread out Scrooge i didn't realise you there, some really well looked after Clios there last night. Will make more of an effort to...
I might take you up on that offer, I leave Runcorn about midday and takes 4-5hrs to get back. Gonna be a long day as I'm getting the 5am train up there
From day one it's always been my intention to achieve more power whilst trying to keep costs at a sensible level. The kit itself was a good price, a couple of hundred more to complete, yes remapping the stock ECU was the next step to keep costs down. The more we progressed into the build it soon...
The reason why i took it to him, 100% trust in his work. Ive known of him for many years through RTOC and seen what he's done with his own cars let alone starting his own business and what he's done with his customer cars
If you have all the kit together, a spare complete weekend and some friends on board to help put it together, that's all it would take. It all just bolts on essentially. Such an easier way to get extra power than the turbo option, you don't have any dealings with the exhaust side of things, no...
