Ehh?? Engine problems from reving a 16v engine??
They were designed to be reved hard from Day 1. Mines been driven hard for the past 5 years in pretty much every gear, numerous track days and no engine probs here!

yep i have a few cars, astra, golf (pre-track condition), citreon berlingo and use the clio16v for track days etc...
Valver hasnt cost me much at all since i only do about 3000miles a year in it. Reparing the basic things can be managable however most engine repares i send it in the garage...
I have this same problem, its a bit of a nightmare.
It costs me £340 to insure a Clio16v with 5 Years NCB but it also costs me £700 to insure a 1.6astra 3rd party. Its absoutley crazy.
Its being under 25 years old which is the problem.

Yes agreed braking was less apparent the more i got used to...
I think its 4 X 20min sessions which is enough to be honest as the brakes are pretty well worn in by then, and its spread over the morning or afternoon so its not like you drive for an hour flat out then go home.
