Yes legally you have a right to buy the tyres at the advertised price *unless* there was a terms and conditions avaliable to you before time of sale.
I would complain and say you may contact trading standards for advice.
Not true. The williams was actually quoted a higher 0-60 time by 0.1/0.2s due to its 3rd gear change which slows the car down to 60.
The 16v can reach 62mph in 2nd gear decreasing the 0-60 time unlike the williams.
Im not saying the willy does 0-60 above 7.7 as it doesnt as the 16v figures...
Doesnt matter. The road and the 1/4mile is very different.
The main objectives of the strip is to cover the distance as quickly as possible whatever the means such as NOS, TURBO, strip out etc.....
The fastest time is the winner simple.
Sorry to see that mate, must not be nice.
If they have now changed the position of the skip and displayed warning cones, then YES you will have a case. If it was fine and completely your fault then they wouldnt have repositioned the skip.
I would argue the case, you may win.
Ps. Always...
ive had oil in mine for years................hasnt made one bit of difference.
~~aaronc thinks~~Maybe if i clean them out i can get 0-60 in 6,5s?~~aaronc stops thinking~~lol
I have raced many standard and modded RS2000. The standard ones i have beaten fair and square not only handling but on straightline speed as well. By 100mph im normally 3/4/5 car lengths ahead and then pull away even further.
However modded ones are not so easy lol. I had one blitz me...
hIghway might be sh*t, but if your a skint student like me and you *dont* intend crashing then its prety cheap.
And they have done everything right so to me so i cant complain.
Yeha i stripped out mine, didnt go as far as the passenger seat but took out the rest.
From the timing it knocked off 1.5/2 seconds to 100 and 0.3/0.4seconds to 60.
probably one of the cheapest and easiest speed mod you can do!
Thats how i managed to keep with that TVRs2 neck and neck all...
Eightball
At the end of the day a car is a product. Generally in life people compare products, like my phone for example e.g picture quality, size etc, comparing it with my mates...........so i like to compare my car against other brands and models, theres nothing wrong with it and can be alot...
I swear santa pod times out so much more than york, not disputing your times lads, they are very impressive, but santa pod seems to be always less times than york with similar cars..............maybe the start line or something?
Found what i raced!! This one was Jreg 1992. Pretty much neck and neck to 100mph.

Ahh well that explains it then! I thought it wasnt that quick for a TVR, i was expected to get wasted! Instead it was pretty evenly matched up to 100.:D
Yeah it can be a bit tempremental at times.
Normally a left hand turn in the 16v will make the needle drop and also up hill can move the fuel back (if its low) and cause the needle to drop.
Right i have done some research! Apparently there is a TVR with faster but similar 0-60 times. This is called the TVR s. It was a 2.8 V6 version weighing 100-200kg more than the 16v certainly not slow but that would explain this sort of smililar sprint to 100.
Anyone know any more about this car?
lol.
Well maybe he wasnt caining it then?.....thing is the car looked like it was being driven hard, maybe not then?
Is there a slow Jreg TVR that was made that would be 0-60 in about 6secs?
Just found this site, you can search the stats for any car in the world.
The 16v stats are fairly interested and the figures do seem very accurate.

Says it does the 1/4...
Coming off rounderbout a converible racing green Jreg TVR behind me and werre both doing 30mph, he smiled at me to move over, so i did and with it a foot full of 16v gas, at this point i was surprised as he didnt level with me untill about 70 where he stayed level with me till 100, we then had...
