I didn’t think silicone would of been necessary when I fitted it. The plastic pipe was crack so had to replace it and the seal with a new Renault one. What a pain it was it get out and fit even in the stand.
The pipe so tight I thought there would be no way it’ll leak 😂
Once that was done I topped the system up
With water and started pressure testing it.
all seem good till I noticed a weep from the plastic coolant pipe from the block to the bottom hose which ended up with this happening.
This is how it’s been left. As I’m debating how to tackle the leak as...
Not sure where I am with keeping this updated but I’ll do a quick up date.
I’ve got a new torque wrench, one that’s capable of torquing the front and rear hub nuts. So that’s now done
I’ve pulled all the interior loom back in so I can make a start on wiring the 044 pump and getting the engine...
Your near me, I’m in rugby.
Would love a nose round it when it’s done.
maybe if my Clio is done we can hit a track day at Mallory park as it’s so close
Cars back on its wheels. Brakes all done, exhaust lined up and carbon trim suck on.
Just need to torque the hub nuts and wheel studs.

I’ve also fitted my cartek cut off, as I need to make sure...
I agree. Some rattle more than others.
I’ve had mine on and off for lots of reason none shifter related and mine is always worse when I’ve just gunned it up and not used a spanner.
Best way to cure it is PMS engine mounts, exhaust and cams/grpN timing then you can hardly hear it
This!!
I run two sandwich plates. A mocal stat one and a torques plate for the sensor take off.
There’s no real risk other than a leak. I’d much rather have the 2 stacked then run one with out a leak and I’d only run a mocal stat plate.
I’ve personally never had a issue and I really work...
Bleeding the brakes has jumped up the list of jobs to do as I need to torque the hub nuts and new wheel studs.
Having no handbrake it needs doing so order up some castrol fluid.
