Oh I almost forgot some for the Clio arrived
Well happy with this little lot and sticks to rule of 1 step forward 2 back as the box needs to come out 😂
Leon is moving along slowly.
Intercooler and rad pack all fitted back to the car
Coil overs and hubs back on.
Also bagged a front splitter
Hoping to get on track with this in March 😎
Project 1
No movement 😂
Had this arrive tho
Thinking maybe to rework the panel or size up a Cartek panel 🤔
Project 2
Getting out of hand quick 😂
Fitted the high flow throttle pipe and compared the intercoolers
I hate working on my Leon everything is hard work lol.
Had to take the how suspension leg, hub and wishbone out as one which was stupidly heavy.
Everything was seized together. Think the aluminium hub and arms didn’t like the use of steel bolts 🙄
Managed to separate them all. Whilst that...
Clio hasn't moved. Waited no in parts, money and time 😂
I really need to work out ECU and dash.
I started sorting my Leon out today as I’ll need it for some track days
My Old 185(ish)bhp Clio NA on a RS2 inlet lapped 5 seconds quicker around Mallory park than my Leon running 370bhp 😂
I think Clio needs to NA. I’d spend money on proper suspension, get rid of rubber bushes for rose joints etc or get an R26
Managed to get 5 minutes on the Clio so I’ve drilled the side mounts out to 10mm now so can look at getting the seat in the right position.
Also removed the tilton bias and valve. I was going to reorder the mid section of brake hose but as they’ve been made wayyyyy to long I’ve managed to just...
Went to autosport Sunday, was hoping to see The DTA Stand but they weren’t there at the weekend 🤦🏻♂️
Anyway a new toy arrived
Need to drill out the seat side mounts to 8mm. Needs to be spot on so this should help.
Also managed to fit a t-piece in between my front brake lines and tweaked...
Sticking to the theme, one step forward two back I’ve managed to loctite all the whee studs in and torque them up.
And 2 steps backwards 😂
Pedal box and servo assembly is back out
Wiring loom and fuse box all stripped back out
My front gearbox mount still fits 🤔
The added vibrations are worth it for difference they make on track.
Are you using the Oe loom? I need to figure out out how to wire in the TPS sensor
Purely down to price the only tyre I’ve ran on the Clio has been federal 595RS-R’s. I’ve managed to bag 4 205/50/15s twice for £200 delivered.
Value for money I couldn’t find anything close.
This was on the blue Clio when it was in the road and found them a perfect balance of track/road/value...
Looks good! Will follow this thread as I’m leaning towards this series building my race car 👍🏻 Fingers crossed it’s always built next year.
look forward to seeing the improvements and check over.
Yeah is handy, it’s only a cheap eBay one but useful for the once a year I use it 😂
haha I’ve had enough of driving over to the ring in stripped out plastic windowed harsh tin cans 😂
Last Time I took the blue Clio it was baking and traffic around Brussels was stand still, I had my door open...
We seem to be hold coolant now and tested to 1 bar of pressure 😁
I managed to tap the plastic pipe into the block a bit more with a rubber mallet. not the best idea but saved me loads of time
Planning to finish off some smaller jobs then decide what to do about the wiring/ecu. I’ve email...
