If you undo the coolant bottle and brake fluid reservoir from the bulk head and pull them away, you might be able to squeeze it out the side from the top.
Might be worth a try as this is how I fitted my puremotorsport manifold
More parts arriving 😁
So ECU, full race spec engine loom and universal Kswap harness to match engine loom ordered.
Engine loom was in stock so that’s arrived and test fitted already
Brand new everything and everything specced to race/Motorsport with a lovely bulk head plug 👌🏻
Also...
Personally I can’t see the TB making that much difference. I had one when I fist had the car and never mapped it.
You can remove the breather plate yeah 👍🏻
ECU and wiring stuff ordered 👌🏻 Couple weeks wait but that’s another big step.
Ordered little odds like sensors , jubilee clips, new cv nuts and other boring stuff.
Awaiting something import for the inside, been waiting ages and can’t move forward until it arrives. so annoying as everything...
Vibratechnics stuff is great. I’ve used it on Vag stuff mainly and it’s always been awesome.
I tried 2 different brand engine mounts on my current Leon and both were crap so went VT mounts 👌🏻
Cheers mate.
Turrets, mine were cracking where the 3 bolts were drilled for bolt in top mounts. So the caster kit from PMS was the easiest solution with a bit of man math including the upgrade.
Subframe is PMS first design suspension, tubular arms, strengthened subframe, roll centre...
Wiring I haven’t decided what route to go just yet.
I’ve got a Cartek PDP panel and AIM dash so pretty easy hopefully. Only Clio parts will be brake lights, indicators, wiper and intank fuel pump.
Can see the rear dog bone in this pic
No front mount but the Front is pretty good for space...
Thanks. Defo worth the time in fettling and being picky where it sat.
Could of definitely got in wrong very easily and quickly.
Thankfully the engine sits perfectly level across the bay and has the same tilt angle as the standard EP3 chassis/mounts.
Progress slowed a bit due to life, football, beer, shots and hangovers 😂
And steering rack bolts, the lower rack bolts/nuts aren’t play ball and tightening up for some reason.
Have fitted the pedal box and related bits now, I remade the feed hoses from the reservoir to masters so they’re not...
Had to order a few parts.
Intake air temp sensor, aeroquip brake unions for the pedal box, Bosch EV14 plug connectors to repin the loom and some coolant blanks.
Throttle cable is routed, just needs finishing off at the throttle body end.
Fitted all the sensors I needed to the throttle body...
Yeah I have but I don’t think the K20 responds that well to ITBs or at least with a mild spec engine. Only what I’ve skim read so could be wrong.
They look awesome tho
Mounted my FPR and brake fluid reservoir.
I’ve misplaced 2 unions to connect the hoses to the reservoir which is annoying 🤦🏻♂️
Ticking through the smaller jobs. Fuel hoses next then it’s wiring loom. I’ve order a shifter tower from Turn12 fabrications nearly 2 months ago and can’t start on...
Buttoned up a few loose ends.
Painted in side the strut tower, undersealed, Subframe on, 3rd dog bone mount fitted, Coolant system in, exhaust manifold and down pipe on, Carbon AC panel fitted, strut brace and strut top adjuster on.
Also fitted my PMS pedal box. Managed to switch the...
