Mate i work with had a basic Clio back in the day. Lowered, big can exhaust, motorword special wheels. Anyhows he ended up running over someone, he ended up up the screen/on the roof. (he was fine btw!) Mods weren't insured, got a full pay out. Years ago I had a Punto GT with a full decatted...
put money on you opening the bonnet to look at said car during sale?
Its not a dodgy bonnet catch, but a sticky safety catch, so the bonnet want shut properly in the first place.... ooops
White wheels go yellow and are a mare to live with. I had some white MO's on my Punto GT.
Also, imo white doesnt work well with the cupped red Brembo's...
Re: Newbie stupid question - how do I tell if my 182 has Cup chassis and/or suspensio
Sure fire way is to measure the bolt holes where the strut bolts to the hub. Should read 60mm. Will have to whip a front wheel off though.
Lovely
Some pro lines would sort out the slight arse down stance the Cups tend to develop over time. Pretty much o.e height, slight tighten up on the handling over stock too.
One of the vans at work had a fault with the blowers, wouldn't work. They are serviced by a pikey when out of warranty. Fella who's van it is was getting irate, so had a look himself. Removed said pollen filter, poof, fan start working! Just goes to show how blocked it must have been!
Thats what silicone is made for ;)
Just had a quick nose,
Water in mine seems to be coming in then running down this box section, which then leaks out into the tool recess.....
Just whipped out the rear cluster, and sealed round these for now, (they have foam seals)
But my...
I'm on the case as we speak. So far i've found its getting in whilst standing rain.... I *think* its looking like the O/S light cluster. It runs through the box section where the boot strike is, then out and pools in the boot.
Under my tool kit i bet there was 1/2 a pint of water!
Its not the belt so much but the pulleys/tensioners that break up. Its hard to say, might be fine for a year, might slip when you first turn the key when you test drive it!
I'd take that with a pinch of salt tbh. Opie oils only push the brands they sell..... The stuff he sells is top spec, not really needed in a clio.....hense him dissing elf stuff. This is what Renault recommend, and is what the engine would have been developed with. Longs its the same spec, there...
be perfect for selling a car with 'mint' alloys, would save on a £200 refurb
Once its driven off its too late when they start peeling three weeks later ;)
I cant see it being next year if i'm honest. The RS variants tend to be released 6 months after the cooking models
And what's all this Williams talk? They aren't successful at the moment.
Renaultsport is now a brand in its own right, which it wasnt back in 1994.
