Well your car has individual pencil coils. These commonly fail. Best way to check if there working is to disconnect each one in turn, if the engine sounds worse then it's not that pencil, if you take one out and the engine noise doesn't change thats your dead one.

Looks in no bad nick by all accounts and pretty cheap for an LY.
Another thing to consider is whether the immobiliser light is going out when trying to start the car, as I had similar issues which turned out to be caused by a faulty battery.

First clio all they did was spray some grease on it, for the second one they replaced the entire mechanism.
