Recaro Pole Position Seat fitting - Info

@JON FOZ. I finally unwrapped your bases today. I’ve had them since September! 😅 Is there any info, photos you can share regarding this install?

Just another M3, this time with a V8.

To be fair Rob that looks a tidy enough job for what you need. However if they wing genuinely works, you’ll want some internal supports for it to rest on from the chassis. A proper wing developing some decent downforce will also have a significant amount of drag. It will be like a parachute on...

Recaro Pole Position Seat fitting - Info

Hey all, I’ve finally got around to having a look at what’s involved in fitting my Recaros into the Clio. I’m using the following: Recaro Pole Position ABE seats. Recaro double locking runners Recaro alloy side mounts Jon Fos Xlow Seat bases. Now has anyone got this setup in a Clio they...

Martin's Track Clio 182 Project Thread

Just paint it mate. As long as you’re not doing it with Hammerite on a roller you’re golden. As I’ve said to Martin, there’s lots of interesting “automotive science” on the Internet. 😏

182... what upgrades would you fit to your perfect spec road car?

Not sure about the smaller sizes but know the 18” Turinis are flowformed and pretty light for their size. I know you can certainly feel the difference in the steering from heavy vs significantly lighter wheels too. I ran Volk CE28Ns on my Impreza for a while which were sub 7kg for an 18x8 and...

182... what upgrades would you fit to your perfect spec road car?

I doubt they're heavier than my 16" Turinis. Worst ways i can flog em on :)

182... what upgrades would you fit to your perfect spec road car?

Small update on this, PMS shifter now at a point where its tolerable. One issue i have to admit wasn't the shifters fault but was causing an issue selecting 5th. This turned out to be a worn selector ring on 5th gear which was causing an intermittent notchiness to it engagement. Not sure how...

    OE04UYN - RB FF 182 (ex The Boosh's Motor)

Seems a fair price to have it done properly. I look at it as I would only be spending the money on a new car or some pcp deal of some sort. There’s nothing I’d realistically rather be driving every day that’s anywhere near the amount of fun for what the 182 offers. I’m guessing that’s where...

Frayz's Inferno 182 - Back in the old flame

I want to be able to swap my Turinis (et38.5) come winter without too much dicking about so thinking 16mm max up front.

Frayz's Inferno 182 - Back in the old flame

Up early today for a dawn raid across the Bedfordshire countryside. Came home with 4 brand new 2118s wearing new R888s. Never even been bolted to a car. 😎👌🏼 Now to decide on some spacers. 😅

    Mot Emissions

It was still doing 36mpg with the CO through the roof! Naturally I was really shocked it failed the emissions as there was no signs of an issue otherwise.

As said on your thread earlier dude. Mine did similar this year, also showing no faults, unusual behaviour or excess fuel consumption. Turned out to be the pre cat lambda.

    BG Clio 182 - Amos

Bugger, mine had the same this year too, my guess is lambda sensor. At least theyre the same so you can try it in one location and if not try in the other. Mine was pre cat.

Martin's Track Clio 182 Project Thread

Having personally measured a lot of vehicle ACTs on a daily basis as well as my own projects outside of work I’d say it doesn’t make a blind bit of difference. The paint/coating would have to be extremely thick to start restricting airflow or heat rejection. Your car, you call dude, I know...

Martin's Track Clio 182 Project Thread

Lol, if you put it on with a 12" roller it might, but a light dust of satin black wouldn't make a bind bit of difference. Common misconception that the colour affects the heat rejection efficiency of a cooler. Many high end motorsport cooler manufacturers offer them in black. :)

Love that Martin, cracking shot. I must admit if it were mine the cooler would be black and hidden :)

Frayz's Inferno 182 - Back in the old flame

People get hung up and convince themselves they need spine snapping suspension for a car to handle. A fast circuit car doesn’t make a fast road car,and I get the impression many convince themselves that they will spend a life on circuit with the occasional road drive. In reality they spend a...

Frayz's Inferno 182 - Back in the old flame

Also had a little bit of an expensive week in addition to the paintwork in WZD. Last weekend I found myself a few beers in a had a bid up on some brand new 2118s. I got them for a great price, but like all these things, they were about get a whole lot more expensive. Expensive because I...

I’ve had an expensive time on mine this week... but I’ll be doing the GRP N & mapping too. I spent a few days in Alex’s RB which is mapped and was hooked. The response is night and day from a OEM calibration car.

    Jekyll's RB182 Progress Thread

Selling it for something that’s a significant step up would be understandable. Hard to do but understandable. But to sell it for another Clio would be bonkers... even a Trophy wouldn’t come close IMO. You’ve done/fixed/refurbished/improved every area that funds have so far allowed. So unless...
