Frayz's Inferno 182 - Back in the old flame

Sure is, friendly, knowledgeable and reasonably priced. I wish him all the success with his business as he’s one of the good ones. 👍🏼

Frayz's Inferno 182 - Back in the old flame

Inboard NS drive shaft. It was the original CV boot that Alex removed when he did the clutch last month. I don't think it liked being removed and re-seated as it was the original item that had done 117kmiles, no fault of his. Alex has now fitted a brand new one to both ends. :)

Frayz's Inferno 182 - Back in the old flame

Been quiet on the update front with the Clio as im currently up to my neck in kitchen renovation and the car hasn't had a look in. I've just got an ever growing list of parts that i need to fit. She has seen some attention in the last 2 days however. Firstly a big thanks to Alex @AW Motorworks...

BMS shifter with OEM cat in place?

Cheers chap, I've got Ash lined up to make me one, i'm just trying to get as much info on it as possible. As i say its a road car that i drive daily, i really don't fancy the noise and agro of the decat. Likewise i want a PMS shifter, but due to the aforementioned reasons, i'm hoping the BMS...

    Jekyll's RB182 Progress Thread

Superb update as usual. I know exactly what you mean that its no show pony, but its an extremely well loved and well kept example and its more the ethic of your ownership that's so refreshing to see. The little clips, odds and ends are the bits that really make the difference. The devil is in...

How to protect headlamps after polishing

Probably, however C4 isn't a gloss product. Good friend of mine is an accredited Siramik detailer, so he coated them for me.

How to protect headlamps after polishing

Had mine coated in Siramik HR. Replaces the UV coating and now i just constantly top up with Gtechniq C2V3 :)

BMS shifter with OEM cat in place?

Yes it is a modified scenic shifter. However unsure if in its modified state if it hangs lower than an oem scenic shifter? Is there no way to run a heatshield in there?

BMS shifter with OEM cat in place?

Question for anyone running a BMS shifter NOT PMS. Is anyone running one of the BMS shifters with the OEM cat in place? I'm told they drop down quite a bit under the car and are very close/foul the OEM cat. Can anyone please confirm for me. Yes I've asked Ash who makes the BMS and i believe he...

Best tyres for Clio 182 road use?

Michelin Pilot Sport 3 is probably the best all round performance road tyre you will buy in the OEM size.

Frayz's Inferno 182 - Back in the old flame

Finally got 5 min to give the old girl a clean, as it hadn’t been washed in 3 weeks and usually it’s every week without fail. Doesn’t come up bad for 14 years old and 116k miles. Inferno is such an odd colour. No filters on these and it looks different in every light.

    Iphone 11 + Apple watch 5

There was a time when I would have the latest iPhone on the day of release blah blah. Yet I’m still on an old 6S and I literally couldn’t give less ducks about the latest iPhone anymore. They have become so overpriced it’s outrageous and do nothing more than the last one did. In the real world...

Massive thanks to Mike Rainbird at RB Motorsport for helping me secure a great deal on todays Recaro delivery. I’ve known Mike for a lot of years now and his service and attention to detail is absolutely superb. Unfortunately I’ve now got the agonising wait till i get time and a break in the...

Pole Position on a trendline jon fox subframe.

Ah well I’ll have to look when they arrive. Getting them fitted should be pretty straight forward. It’s the faff with the airbags I’m not looking forward to. What do most do? Resistors or can they be cancelled via the ECU?

Pole Position on a trendline jon fox subframe.

Is this because the Recaro mounts are wider than the JF frame holes?

Pole Position on a trendline jon fox subframe.

I’ve just ordered some PPs, Recaro mounts and Jon Fos frames. So hoping they all bolt up. 🤷🏽‍♂️
