    Probably more like sticking caliper than the actual cable. You should be able to check to see if the arm of the handbrake behind the caliper is fully releasing.

    Open diff. Non of the RS Clios came with one, you'd think they would. Mark did mine in 2017 and it's been faultless after many track days at Oulton, it's my local too.

    Yeah i'd try just lifting it up and down whilst someone holds the lever up. Sounds like it's just stuck. The latch you pull is just a secondary latch, so won't have any effect on the primary mechanism.

    Had the exact same on mine as few years ago, typically when it was wet outside. I gave the connections in the engine bay fuse box a spray with anti corrosion stuff (acf50) and it's been fine ever since.

    They were new PBS pads on a Brembo 4 pot setup and I don't think he's bedded them in properly. I've never heard those pads like that before.

    I've heard of people getting a battery booster/charger onto the starter motor from underneath to give it enough power to unlock.
