Old school there with the FinishKare. Always remember their stuff being decent. Still got a tin of the 1000p hi-temp wax, always nice to use on wheels.

    My Black Gold (no)mod thread

If it won't turn over once you bolt it back on, give it smack with a hammer and a long extension bar. Had to do that on my brother's cmax when we did the clutch and flywheel. Worked perfectly before we took the box off, then just a clicking noise when it was all back together. A quick tap...

What have you done to your car today ???

It was a while ago when I ordered mine. At the time the Valeo ones were on eBay from Mister Auto, but I can't find them now mate 😏 They are on Autodoc for £72 though... https://www.autodoc.co.uk/valeo/1097215

Just got a cheap Nissens rad. I've since found that you can get genuine Valeo ones for the same money 😏

    Clio 172 caliper slider question

There are no o rings inside. The two grooves are reliefs for grease to sit in.

    NFJ

    I'd say it'll be fine. It's still a GL-4 spec oil.

    NFJ

Recommended for all Renault, Nissan and Mitsubishi vehicles equipped with manual transmissions including Sx, Jxx, TLx, NDx, NDk1, Pxx, DBx family gearboxes. Note: This product replaces Tranself NFP 75W-80 and Tranself NFJ 75W-80 and covers their targeted applications.

    Replacing battery in key fob

No, just replace the battery within a reasonable time. On some cars it can lose the coding, but that'll be like 10-15 minutes.

Heard the name, but can't think where.

Jobs on car you gave up on...

What box is it in the Megane 175? Is it a PK4? Most PK4's are around 55kg.

Track Tyres - Feedback and Recommendations

Ideally need medium/hard on the front and soft on the rear of a Clio. They take an age to warm up as well as @JB21 says. This time of year probably 2-3 laps at pace on top of a couple of laps to even warm them up so you don't cold grain them.

    182 automatic xenons

Check the earth wires behind the carpet/plastic trim as well. The black rubber grommets either side of the tail lights can leak water and it runs down inside right onto the earth points 🤦‍♂️

Track Tyres - Feedback and Recommendations

Ahh no, they only do the RC6.

Track Tyres - Feedback and Recommendations

Have you tried Carbone Lorraine RC8? A mate used them on his Megane with slicks and was able to lock the fronts, only just though. Just so much grip on big slicks when hot.

Track Tyres - Feedback and Recommendations

You might notice a bit more pad wear running slicks, because you are able to use all of the pad's ability. Therefore more heat will be generated, so you need your cooling on point.

Track Tyres - Feedback and Recommendations

A working temperature of 40°c versus 70+ would indicate you were right.

Track Tyres - Feedback and Recommendations

If that's same day testing, then that's good.

Track Tyres - Feedback and Recommendations

Really? I can't see how a non road legal race tyre (A050) is slower than the A052. They even used the A050 in World Time Attack as the mandatory tyre.

It might seem expensive, but it doesn't take a lot to do a tyre.

You need to try the DZ03G yeah.

Carbon Collective - Sateen Dries nice and quick on tyres, no sling. Gyeon Tire is alright as well, but don't put too much on otherwise it slings, but not as bad as Megs Endurance.
