Yup, 4300k is standard.
How many "classy" cars come with overly blue tinged lights? None. How many s*** cars sat outside Halfords/Macdonalds have blue-tinged lights? Many.
Secondly there is a serious safety point here - badly fitted/very-blue HIDs can be dangerous. Even If you don't care...
Anyone know if youtube vids etc have been used as evidence in court or if it's simply too easy to defend by saying you just bragging online etc? He openly admits he crashed whilst racing another car on the motorway. You could prove the account & IP that uploaded the video and you'd probably find...
Wouldn't the Clio be a bit wasted in the USA, what with them not having imported/built any "twisties" from the rest of the world yet? Mind you in all seriousness a 172/182 probably has better fuel efficiency than pretty much everything bar a prius in the US.
Re: MY CLIO 1.6 PROJECT
That carbon wrapping (particularly reffering to the wing mirrors) looks waaaaaaaaaaaayyyyyy better than some of the stuff members have paid other self-claimed "proffesional" members on here to do - well done.
Do you mean you've done a 2.0L conversion (with or without all the interior/bodywork/rear beam/etc) and think typing your reg in to any of these databases (whether it's Halfords, MID or DVLA) should say you have a 172? Or have you physically moved your license plate (associated with the 1.2 onto...
Sounds minor compared to some but a sizeable percentage none the less. Bought the 182 for £3325, 5 months and an insurance excess later I was left with a £2300 payout. And obviously being 19 the insurance cost £1450 odd in the first place. More annoyingly with no NCB I'm back to poverty spec...
There seem to be a fair few white 182s cropping up in threads from Romania, Russia, France etc and the odd from the UK. Are these all sprayed white or was it offered as a factory colour on RS Clios in Europe?
Were standard clios offered in white? Therefore are all these white 1*2s reshelled...
Just had a look on novatech and err wow. 500GB F3: £99. Ninety nine pounds. I paid £40 2 months ago.
Totally right, must've missed fudzilla's inevitable anti-HDD-manufacture rant.
A better deal will always come up a few months after you buy yours.
Yeah I'd have liked to have paid £500 less but the fact is you can only buy what is available at the time and it was already the best deal I'd seen in 3 months of searching.
Cheapest underwriter for most people with standard cars at the moment is EUI Limited.
This means Bell, Admiral, Elephant, Diamond and a few others. They do different things e.g. Bell specialise in low NCB, Admiral in multicar policies etc but in my experience they all price match each other and...
Prices are ridiculously misleading on this forum.
I live on the southcoast and within 30 miles there are 2 pikey-spec 182s between £2500 and £3000. "Proper" examples start at £3450.
Change the postcode to birmingham (which isn't even "oop north") and there's pikey-spec 182s between £1350 and...
Personally I think it sounds a nice mix between raspy and deep without being chav/rudeboi spec, though I totally understand those, myself included, who prefer a quieter exhaust for everyday driving.
Looks lovely in white, though may I ask WTF is that "thing" attached to the top of your bootlid...
This sort of thread should definitely be stickied. Literally half the forum has done this, there's stuff everywhere. Infact there are probably as many posts about reps as there are genuines (which makes me sad as reps downgrade the image of genuine ones IMO) Still reps are popular for the simple...
Surely it's worth sticking a 32MB cache Samsung F3 in there? Seems a shame to go all this expensive and effort just to stick your OS on what is probably a 5400 RPM drive! (I say F3, but I've not been following guru3d religiously this year so no idea if something better has come along)
Love watching a race unfold from onboard. Gearbox impressed me, as always.
Never watched a V8 SC race before, the amount of rubbing/contact seemed just right. Definitely seems to produce some good racing to watch.
This.
Though I don't wish the same misfortune on you again ( :p ) I can honestly say "Stolen and Recovered: The 172 Cup That Lived On" made my decision for me that I was going to own an RS.
How about a before and after picture? (Obviously need to put your camera on manual so it's doesn't auto adjust brightness & don't forget to tell us what was in there before?)
With respect handling depends absolutely massively on suspension geometry, especially on macpherson struts where camber is not fixed (camber increases as the suspension goes into "bump" and decreases when in "droop") so there is no point comparing between cars.
But you have a valid point, you...
Have you got standard sized wheels/tyres? (205/45/16) If not the speedo will most likely be messed up as the equation most ECUs use to find speed has an r, for wheel radius, in it. Change r without telling the ECU and your speedo is wrong!
As I said, this is how most cars do it. Maybe...
The "plastic bit" being the bit that stops water dripping off the windows going all over the uninsulated connections on the back of each speaker. Of course you're not going to get the Atlantic in your door but corrosion & broken speakers vs everything working fine?
