The "will I regret it" question isn't really one that anyone but yourself can answer. Personally I endeavour to have another 182 one day for the sentimental value, even if i can afford a 458, so it's a car that means a lot to me.
In terms of the other choices though, it's a bit dated compared...
Up until the rudeboi chrome wheels (and the bit where you attended one of the "cruise" thingies) this was defo a contender for my fav non sport! Love the fact it's a diesel too!
100x worse than the worst Ferrari rep (and I saw that RX7 one the other day) I've seen.
Unlike the Ferraris however, you can actually get a real one for that. A 53 plate with cambelt-needs-changing mileage surely can't be much more, even a 225.
Loved the "poverty spec" refference...
Unfortunately I no longer have a car that is fun to drive, that is a pride & joy, and that loves to be rev'd...
...but even though I think "I don't care about this car compared my old 182, I never take it up 3k RPM and I only use it twice a week" at the end of the day the cost of the risk...
Didn't know the Mk1 didn't have xenons. Learn something every day n all. Anyway:
Osram Nightbreakers.
/Generic reply. But seriously, these get recommended again and again. No idea how they actually compare for width, length, brightness etc but Halfords Super/Ultra-Bright etc definitely are...
I'm suprised not a single person has mentioned resolution.
Admittedly the conclusion is pretty much foregone: if you want to go mental get a second 5870 to crossfire, otherwise a single 5870 is still absolutely fine and on average very little between it and a 6900 series card. However there are...
Exactly. If it BREAKS.
If you did actually mean it is more comprehensive than 99.99% of warranties and coveres wear and tear, then perhaps you can share the name of the warranty providor with us? I personally wouldn't mind a car with a warranty that covers tyres wearing out, brake pads wearing...
It's not about how competant they are on car X, Y or Z. It's about experience on the Renault F4R engine. Taking the above example, just because Fernando Alonso's chief mechanic has done F1 engines for the past however many years does not automatically mean he:
a) Knows that the 3 locking tools...
You missed a crucial bit of my post. It's the "open cone" type filters (e.g. one of these: http://www.carid.com/images/air-intake/kn/performance-induction-kits.jpg) that is a baaaaaaad idea on the F4R engines (the one in the 172 & 182) Because they are open they suffer from "heat soak" - that...
I was about to tell you to do £500 * 52 weeks and then compare to the national average wage, let alone the average wage for other 18 year olds. Then I realised you weren't the OP xD
Regardless of how little financial sense it makes if £8k was trivial then sure I'd have got a 182 at 18. Yes it's amusing that he's paying 8k at 18 (I paid £1.4k at 19...) but if he thinks it's ok then fine.
The usual response is: "NA tuning is very expensive in terms of BHP/£ especially on the...
1) How/why?
2) By declared do you mean "declared" (in which case they're not covered - long story) or do you mean you took out their "modified car cover" on top of normal fully comp?
Very smart! Just goes to show how good a well kept Clio can look when the modifications are kept looking OEM :) Too much chav-mobile stuff on here sometimes xD
Obvious question, but then a weird thread.
Are you searching for new stations or just going through pre-sets? If you've unplugged the HU or battery recently it will have forgotten all of it's pre-sets and will just be staring at random frequencies, probably with nothing on them.
On the "how much should I expect to pay" front, you're safe with ebuyer. They're a reputable and competitive company for enthusiasts, not a rip-off-the-clueless-public highstreet store like PC World etc.
Sure there are other online specialists and we each have our preffered place to buy...
His torque figure is in Nm. 200~ Nm = 150~ LbFt
Curiosity: how accurate are RS tuners for this sort of thing? (open ended question given you can calibrate a RR to read anything)
Ripspeed-esque ST rep. Insane mileage. Incomplete service history. Wrong wheels if we're being picky. Thoroughly confusing asking price. No, it's not actually a Mk5 conversion as claimed (though lol @ the last thread I made r.e. mk 5 astra :o )

Why don't people like the 182 cups? Because they're a sort of redundant middle ground. If you want the best in lightness/driving pureness the trophy/ph1/172 cup makes more sense.
If you actually use it as a car also then why not spec cup performance and the luxeries of a 182 FF. I don't hate...
Firstly FLOL at this vs the million other mere ~£8k M3 threads.
CSLs sound really nice anyway, but if you want a bit extra you could consider the "calf-rearing bucket" mod that's suddenly become all the rage?
