I've used Nightbreaker Plus and Halfords Extreme Brilliance. Of these two Nightbreakers are cheaper if you cba to wait for delivery on Amazon and IMO seemed to give a wider/deeper spread of light at the same "whiteness" as the Halfords EB.
Neither even begin to stack up against the Factory...
I think one of the Clio's best bits is that it's such a good all rounder. All of the following just make it very well specced for a hatch of that price/era/pace and not a "young persons" car at all:
Xenons
Half Leather
Climate
Auto wipers
Auto lights
Cruise Control
Comfort
Infact the only...
Ditto, new wheels look so much better! Doesn't make the brakes look peanut sized either which is a bonus.
Any plans on cleaning the front bumper up a bit? I think it looks a bit too "busy" for the black to work well (Obviously it'll never be a 200, different shape etc)
Like what you did with the 16v badge (binned it!)
Like the wheel refurb (even if I don't like the wheels)
Like the colour coding.
Like the fact you HAVEN'T gone straight for a 172/182 rep and make it look like every other 1.2 out there.
Like the standard lights (hope you burned the other ones!)...
EDIT: Scratch that, I was slow at replying. Nevertheless:
The exhaust heat shields on the Clio 182 make a very hollow & rattle like noise. If you just had a centre section and rear section fitted there's no reason why the garage would've gone near the manifold heat shield?
The other exhaust...
Faulty/different/replacement/poorly-programmed sensors can (and do) send messages around the can bus which can (and do) conflict with other messages and mess things up for the ECU, but this is usually such a fundamental issue that it's fixed in development and is resolved way before production...
Red banding doesn't suit IMO. Shiny wheel nuts on a completely standard not-even-colour coded car don't suit either IMO - try some plain looking centre caps? Also Nankang isn't a brand I'd be advertising - they probably have the same coefficient of friction as teflon...
Oh and they're probably...
For £11 you may as well bolt the skoda one on. If you don't like (unlikely, I mean what are the alternatives, all splitters look pretty much the same from any distance further than 10 feet away) it then you can spend £120 on an OE or K-Tec CF one.
As in what are the software differences between say a TDF map and an RS Tuner map and a generic map? Purely curious, I have no interest in remapping my car. Plus I don't even have my Clio any more.
Generic maps - Just how terrible are these, do they literally just add 2 degrees of advance to...
This thread is brilliant. A lot of threads are doomed to fail but this one has it all (well apart from "M3" or a horrific ebay modded clio):
* People who appear to know the theory/practical implications very well.
* People who don't understand (NOT saying that I do) the words they're throwing...
Any particular reason why the 192/200 are so bad compared to the 172/182?
182s for instance easily get 42+ on the motorway and 33 combined even when "having fun" on a journey.
Hope you get to the bottom of this. At least it's not as bad as the "I just paid for a 182, How many of them were made with a single exhaust?" thread.
I'm sure this isn't the case, but am just putting it out there. Is it definitely Aluminium and not an Alloy. Alloys can be magnetic. Aluminium...
Having thought "ultra rare? f*** off there were over 5000 BGs IIRC" It has just occured to me that you can't buy BG in a spray can from renault, so presumably it's quite difficult/rare/expensive to get a match made up (the gold flake bit of the BG)?
You can connect it via a 3.5mm "aux" lead. If you buy the CD-changer to aux lead adaptor to plug into the back of the headunit. No idea how much these are, PM a guy on here called Matt (username MT_Audio) This lead is only compatible with the tuner/update list stereo (can't rememer which one!)...
Any updates on what you've done?
This sort of thread makes me so, so glad that I trundled around in a completely standard 1.3 poverty spec fiesta for 2 years, then bought a proper car (a FF 182) 4 days after my 2 year NCB came through with the money I'd saved. I wrote it off 4 months later, but...
The Jack (and a little device for popping the centre caps off the wheels in order to get to the wheelnuts) should be in a bag in the boot, strapped in on your right hand side. This is so obvious I'll assume you don't have it (just as I'm assuming you did bother looking for a jack in the boot -...
Or HIDs.
However some non-chavy alloys, a skoda splitter, an RS grill, clear side repeaters, subtle lowering springs etc will look great.
P.S. http://www.cliosport.net/forum/showthread.php?316226-Cool-Mods-For-Skint-People....&highlight=cheap+mods
Also depends a lot on location at this sort of price. Decent 182s seem to pop up for £2500 a fair amount "up north" but if you're on the south coast you need £3k minimum for a shed.
Cambelt changes (5 years, 72k miles) cost in the region of £500 - £750 so this has a big influence on the...
Has to be a "calf rearing" bucket IIRC. They're just having you on, buckets were involved in a flawed idea that was posted a while ago.
Technically the best place to put a CAF is around the scuttle panel/windscreen wiper area. The flow of air over a car body is at it's highest pressure at this...
No. Only standard 182 (inc cup packs) I.e. not the 182 Cup or Trophy. http://www.cliosport.net/content/guides/Renault Sport Clio Guide.pdf
A 182 cup can theoretically do everything (accellerate, brake, corner) marginally faster due to being slightly lighter. However in the real world there will...
I'm a "trendlines & turinis/2118s if you have to, but otherwise keep it as Renaultsport intended" person. But...
Love the wheels. Love the seats.
Definitely one of my favourite Clios on CS!
Logitech X-530. Loud. Clear. Subwoofer.
I'm sure Z220s etc (costing £££s) are another level when you get to really, really, really loud but I am continually astounded at the clarity, volume and bass the X-530 provides, nevermind when you consider the price.
The clarity continues well into...
As said, not for the "kit" which comprises of:
gasket
bolts x2
nuts x2
springs x2
cups x2
washers x4
TBF to Renault they've always been really good, whilst never having RS 182 parts in stock they've always got them by 9:30am the next day (if ordered before 4pm or something) or better still...
That Cayenne (about 5th "older") is hilarious, clearly a former 1.2 8v "were can I Get some fast road cams an wich Induction kit???????" type owner. I bet half of CS thinks it looks "sick brruuuvvvv."
Besides that, they also appear to like their polish?
