Front supsension design set up is the same across 197 and 200, if you're thinking 'perfo hub'. Main differences are spring/ damper rates between 197/200/cup variants. There was a slight tweek to the hub carrier from 197 to 200.
I'd imagine with the oil being cold, its thicker, which takes up the 'play', therfore no rattling. I had a faulty dephaser on my cup, and ad you mention, above 1800 rpm the rattling disappears.
Yep. I had the same issue. Was after a HTC HD7. To new customers it was free on an 18 month contract , for me to upgrade it was £60 wtf?. Rang them up and got it free. c**ts. Must have been with o2 for over ten years or so .
Not really. Just check for wear on the Recaro bolsters. Also, check gearbox... sometimes third can be a a bit crunchy above 5000 rpm. If it is, your looking at a replacement. Will be under warranty though. Other than that, enjoy, they are a cracking motor :)
Re: ***How much is my car worth?***
When i finally buy a house next year, I'll probably sell the 197 to add to my deposit. 172's are such good value at the mo ;)
