Cars looking great mate :) What setup are you planning on using for the alternator as the cup system is too bulky to work with the rad from my measurements the other month
Engine:
Got the engine out as planned last night and took all that I can apart with the tools I have. The breather plate seems to have been leaking as it was missing 3 bolts from where the Coilpack was mounted so I will relocate this for next year. The *end cap* (I think thats what its called)...
Right mate on my car which has stock loom for all that stuff the relay for the white wire that runs to the starter goes into the middle of the 3 small brown relays in the picture
Mine is going in the bin if you need me to post you any bits?
What are journals lol? The bits on the crank? If so i'm not sure yet as I dont have the tool to undo the arp's
Yes cat is a requirement of the bluebook and 105 static is the noise limit :) No worries mate! I took that picture of the aux belt routing as mentioned do you want me to put it up or...
Yes unfortunately :( I'm sure it was all to do with the timing! I need to speak with Cat again but they just laughed when I last spoke to them. It sounds like they are tricky to dial in with the verniers instead of VVT
Yeah cool mate I will try and find them as I have them on email somewhere...
No mate it has got 421's in it but the timing has obviously been well out the cams didn't line up at all! How do so many people know about the power it made on the rollers lol? I can't of told more than 3 people all of whom I trust not to tell anyone lol!
Haha sorry I will sort it for next year...
Not sure to be fair Andy I said I will go along and see Cup Phil at his trackday think it was either this month or November and then early December to go see Northloop :) I'm not driving just going down to watch! Haha I know what you need Andy a nice set of KW's ;) It reminds me I really need to...
Yes Nick I have seen it but seems a shame to rip apart an engine that has just been all sorted out :(! Whats the mileage and service history on it as I didn't see that on the listing? :)
Hi Mark, Yes I wanted to try 205's so got a set of the Dunlops they are no where near as good as the 888's...
Haha! Got my eyes peeled for a decent 182 engine but not really rushing things on that side for now :)
Haha i'm trying to sell my house and I dont think potential buyers will like it as an ornament lol
Yes I was kind of expecting standard rod bolts but they are ARP's :) I can't even find the...
Engine is out! While laying on the floor undoing the gearbox I saw a HUGE hole in the back of the block! Nearly big enough to put my hand through! I then peeked inside and could see what a mess it was. Turned the engine upside down on the engine stand and could hear all the parts rattling round...
Thanks Keith :)
Ohh, Yes its a good way of doing it I think and the way Chip has done his looks ideal compared to mine that is in the boot nearly lol!
Another one mate? I've only just done it today lol
Hahaa pmsl!
Please excuse it been wonky!

Yes Dan it does sound silly but if I can get something better suited to my needs and not cost anything in doing so then its a decent move! If it's going to cost a fortune then I agree with you :)
Have you tried moving it back just on the linkage? I think you can get a couple of inches with that
Yes mate unfortunately that is the problem! The twingo uses a JC5 casing and has cable change but then uses hydraulic clutch so no easy (cheap) way around it
No thankfully not lol! It would be awesome but the costs are silly for buying, fitting, servicing and when they go badly wrong
TDF wanted to do something similar to mine and spent time trying but it's just not possible unless you change the selector on the box :(
Yes I agree but starting from fresh I would do things differently and if I can get a good price for my shell so that it wouldn't cost me much to start again...
Yes I agree with you there but I don't think its all about the power personally! Yes to go battling with the Jordan integera we need to have 260+ but that doesn't interest me, Like you say I could swap to a Honda but then to get an Integra to a similar spec to theirs would cost a lot more than...
Very true and I dont think I will ever repeat most of my mistakes from the last year but personally I don't think the clio is a mistake as a race-car! We'll see what happens :)
