Yep that makes sense, yeah i think i looked at extending the linkage so to keep the same pattern, but yeah unfortunately extending rhe linkage was the easiest/cheapist way for me I think.. cheers though
The car had had the centre console cut out and a flat steel sheet welded into it.
This meant a new gear stick hole could be made further back along with the handbrake hole. So there was nothing there before me, and the hole is about 90 mm further back so standard shifter or the standard length...
So the clio passed it's MOT yesterday! Which is good! It was also my 21st birthday so happy days!
The rear brakes were showing about 28kgs of effort, and 1 kg less with the bias valve reduced... So one point the bias valve does s**t alll haha

and with regards to the loom it just keep things plugged in so you know what they do then go from there, very easy to get mixed up - I speak from experience I went through a loom trying it...

I use one in the racecar - I do not have a trickle charger and its been fine for 2 months (maybe once a every other week i start it) although i have a kill switch which gets used when the car is not in use. Bargain.
