I've got one, but still need to get an external flash so most of my pictures are pretty poor!
And yep agree with focus, if it's something really that small you ideally need a rig rather than a tripod to keep it exactly at the right focus!
Personally I'd say go for a i5 (unless you're video editting or something that's CPU intensive, the i7 is a waste of money), but make sure you go X79 if you do so you can upgrade CPU's later on if you wish (new ones out Q3 I believe).
In terms of GPU, I'd say why not for 7950 -> 7970 - if...

If you want something extremely modular, go for a desktop, there's plenty of "small" solutions now-a-days, though obviously it still won't be as portable as a laptop.
Probably worn suspension, it's not going to drive at it's best if you are still on all the old components.
Oh and tyres, what tyres do you have and what tyres does he have?
All about profit with them though right, so surely they won't reinvent the wheel redoing the server code.
We've already seen half of it is in Javscript, so won't be any issue with compatibility unless they are truly that retarded (just ajax calls to web services essentially), all they need is...
Dual boot? Any Mac can run windows..
