I think I'd personally bin all the carpet / trim that's had it soaked in, you will never remove it. You may improve the smell using some very strong degreaser

They take a bit of manipulating, arm yourself with a pair of mole grips, bend up and I'd put money on it resolving your issue.

Probably bumper brackets, bend them up and out of the way.
