Finally got my replacement tyre fitted on my set of spare wheels to be greeted by this fat egg:
Fortunately the eBay seller refunded my money straight away :)
Water damaged ECU was a very common problem with these cars. Located in the scuttle panel iirc.
And yes early valvers had no immobilisers so you could swap them over easy enough.
Thanks you 2, the top wheels came with the car and had mismatched tyres and saw these on eBay so put an offer which was accepted, so came together nicely :)
Call me Del Boy :) picked up a near new tyre for your old set and just waiting to get it swapped over and then sprayed up in anthracite :)
Ticket bought :) Simple enough to do and print your ticket off at home.
Also worth mentioning that no tickets to show your car can be bought at the gates on the day.

I need to get my ORS tickets sorted pal. It will just me and the little'un this year though as Carmen is away elsewhere.
All the best mate.
You can reset them by spinning the internal collar. There should be a coloured indicator ball but can't remember what colour it should be off top of my head.
I thought exactly the same when I fitted mine last month and a quick panic message to @bloke made me rest assured and this how they are. When dropped down they do level out a bit. One tip is just make all faces are cleaned up.
