Considering its a temporary fun car i would just buy a low mileage f4r, transplant the head and get everything back together and enjoy it! Put the time and money into the Mk1/Nova/cossie/10 more cars :p

wouldn't a hone and fresh rings be adequate enough?
That's what i did with my current build and it doesn't consume oil or anything. Compression was 180-190 psi across all 4 after 500km or so... However the bottom end wasn't worn down though.
You're not reading it right mate, he has the older 02a. It's the 5-speed gearbox which is original on the vr6.
they are known to break above 350hp so actually it isn't bad with his rwd conversion.
Really hard to tell of a youtube video but the rough idle is probably caused by the o2 sensor, try and unhook it. If it then idles okay you've got that sorted...

However as Chip said the ring is a public tol road, however there is an exclusion which says: when you compete in any kind of racing your claim will be expelled.
Pretty hard though to prove someone was 'racing'. Downside is they would HAVE to pay...

only was there on sunday and it was a bit crowded... however it did vary quite a bit, had a lap where i drove within a whole group of cars and had a lap where i almost didn't see anyone...

Seems a bit expensive, this is the part nr for acl's: AB 4B7820H 000 Cost €80 in NL so must be gotten cheaper....Federal mogul suplies tagged bearings however i don't know the part nr as i binned te boxes...
