Thanks Rob, think you may have to wait until Silverstone tbh. Got a bit of spending to do on this one, a 172 Cup that I'm buying , a holiday and an understanding wife.
V6 has the twin central exhaust. The wheel choices really make or break them. Some colours suit certain wheels etc. I still can't decide on my favourite colour but Stratus Grey or Ebony Black are up there, along with both reds. It's a hard life looking at so many each day.
Have to agree, Craner is probably best but as said above Redgate and Hollywood aren't bad either. Even up to Mcleans is ok. I'm taking my coat and brolly, light showers forecast in afternoon.
Each race in our series (Tricolore Trophy / Track Attack) costs me about £500. I drive to and from the circuit on the same day so I don't have the costs of overnight stay or food etc. Just race fees and associated costs, such as fuel and wear and tear. Budget and location dictate how many races...
Same could happen to lots of people on trackdays. How about making your track car MSA compliant? Then you could do an occasional race in between trackdays. OK, you would have the outlay of fees etc. but you would also get the adrenalin rush of that starting grid.
£330 in Tricolore Trophy is cheap for a race fee. That gets you two races in the day. Our production or 206 Gti classes offer a cheaper option, as it is possible to drive the car to the event and hopefully keep it in one piece to drive it home. That's what I do.
If it's just so you know your laptimes, then TSL provide a lap by lap breakdown for each competitor via your transponder. If you want deeper analysis then VBOX seems a popular choice.
