No none of the cars for sale on here really take my fancy. Wanting only one colour will make the search harder but I'm in no rush.
I spotted that rb earlier and its a nice example just not what I'm looking for.
To be honest yeah I was, the guys got it advertised for £4250 which is pretty high really. maybe I went there expecting too much?
Like I said nothing too major but the costs will soon add up if I tried to get the car to a high standard.
I'm gonna do some more research on the car and get some...
Yes mate I did. Mixed feelings about the car really. After a short chat with him my doubts about the mods soon vanished. He's just a guy that loves his hot hatches and tinkering is just something he enjoys although his taste is questionable.
I expected the car to be in better condition than it...
Exactly what I thought when I first see it but you never know, stranger things have happened.
It's only a 10-15minute drive from me so thought I may aswell go and see it and have a proper chat with him.
Yeah only use it at the weekend. I've had my current car 5 years and just fancy a change now, I've been sensible for too long. I don't want to spent too much on anything too new as I dont use it...
I just think that if I can pick up a clean car with around 30k it will still be under 40k in 5 or so years time and will be quite a sort after car.
I think it's just because my 1.4 is low mileage and immacualte I just want to find a 182 in the same condition.
I'm only in Welling so not far...
Sounds like good advice. I wasnt sure about it anyway and I know I should follow my instinct.
I'm just after a low milage example because I only do a few thousand miles a year. My 2003 1.4 is on 34k.
Milage is 31k and belts have just been done according to the ad. Price is £4250 bit over priced i think.
copy and paste: clio 182 black gold 2005 into ebay. Sorry could'nt figure out how to make a link :o. I'm sure you will spot the wheels!
I've found a 182 I'm interested in buying but it's advertised as being owned by a mature lady owner yet the car has been re mapped along with an rs192 exhaust and pipercross induction kit and some shocking 17inch wheels.
The car is being sold as standard but I just can't see a woman/couple in...
gripper diffs are awesome! Always amazes me just how well my dads 230bhp r5 gt turbo race car gets off the line and out of second or first gear hairpins.
Especially when all of the power comes in at once and it just grips, I'd say it's the cars best modification to date.
I had this one mine, exactly as you describe but I never had any issues once the car was running.
I had the tdc sensor replaced a few years ago and it's been perfect ever since.
When my battery died I had these lights come on. I took it to a local garage who cleared the fault codes. The lights came on because of the low voltage. Been fine ever since.
I don't have any experience with the 17-35 but im guessing it would make a great wide angle lens on either the D700 or D3.
The 17-55 is DX only unless you shoot in DX mode which is not ideal on a FX camera? I take it your using D700/D3 Tigger?
I've finally bought a 17-55, can't wait for it...
Completely agree 50hz is ok but for the lounge but I'd really recommend at least 100hz. We've got a samsung 50hz led tv in the kitchen and its good but when I watch it and then go and watch our 100hz lcd sony the difference is picture quality really is noticable.
I think the samsung tv you're...
I'm currently using a D5000, its a pretty good little camera although its not great at high iso which has got me wanting some fast glass.
I use my 35 1.8 a lot because I love the images it produces and its amazing in low light so I'm hoping the 17-55 will give me similar results with a bit...
It seems there is a lot of love for the 24-70 and im not surprised, I've never heard a bad word said about it. If I ever go full frame it would be the first lens i would buy! I just think for my shooting needs a wider DX lens will suit me best.
Tigger, the idea of having the 24-70 and a wide...
Yeah the 24-70 gets great reviews and its something I've considered. Only thing putting me off is the range on DX.
What made you go for the 24-70 in the end? Do you find it wide enough on DX?
Anybody had any experience with this lense? I've been thinking of buying one second hand for a while now and was wondering if its worth the £££.
I'm currently using a 18-105 as my walk about lense and want something better in low light and sharper.
Thanks in advance, Jack.
