Do like a bit of JDM
But ye I'll look into it soon, I have some other bits on my list that are more important first off. Atm I've got a new screw into the arch on the underside. It's holding atm.
Sorry to bump this but has anyone ever used
Bolt Loop Rings? Mines not a race car but front bumper wobbles a bit and the screws that go into the bumper from the arch arent holding anything. Just want a cheap ish fix. Anyone done it?
Where could I get hold of a battery cover like that? Do I need a induction for it? I like my standard air box tbh. But I'd like a nice simple battery cover
@James172C that's the top half there is a bottom half that does come off. Normal where people connect throttle boddies or ITBS. But I'm assuming you just painted the top Inlet in that case. I'm tempted to just leave the fuel guard off tbh. But I'm debating. I can always buy the bolts. Just...
@James172C dude your engine looks well nice. I don't have a fuel line cover atm. Did you take of all of the manifold off including the underside bit that fits to the block?
How did you paint the bit next to the rocker? On the left. Engine mount bit was that just paintbrush to.
I've got...
I Try to keep my engine bay relatively clean and tidy. After finally getting 5 mins to my self I changed my spark plugs to find the rocker was a bit of a mess. Very grotty. I also found one of the bolts holding the Inlet on was broken. Have a feeling someone did it up to tight.
I need to...
@imprezaworks very grabbed it at 86k for £1000.
@hipwell I'm hoping it's not too tight.
Question! Where would I get some replacement bolts for the engine bay? Like bolts for the intake manifold. Air box. Stuff like that?
@Knuckles that's what I had! Screw fix thanks. I couldn't think for life of Me what it's called. @R3k1355 that looks terrifying lol. But I think I get how it works? Can attach a torq wrench with a 5mm bit to the black part? Looks familiar.
@Mr. Plums £100!! normally costs me £35 elf oil, sump washer and filter. From Renault parts. What fancy oil you using lol. I did Mobil 3000 first time round. Tbh I got some work to do under hood. Need to change ht leads. Want to get a new expansion tank. And want to get new bolts and bits since...
I do. But the garage I brought it from told me it had been serviced once they got it. I saw no reason to doubt them. But clearly they are idiots or just liers and I'm more gullable than I thought. I do oil change every 2 years as I don't do a great amount of miles.
@James the same pleb I imagine who put a hellfrauds special induction kit on that was so poorly fitted I don't think the air actually got to the engine.
@Mr. Plums you have no idea lol, I wish I'd taken more pictures when I brought it. Bad induction kit. Wheels that had been scraped around...
@STEVE.M @Mr. Plums @R3k1355 thanks for your help, I've finally got them out and well. I've seen better. And they were really cross threaded.
Nice new shiny ones in now. And some pictures of my car.
Trying to keep her stock and cleaned up. Previous owners didn't look after her.
They are very very tight. Are they normally so tight? Im struggling to move them. And one looks like it's rusty. Also there seems to be alot of oil around my rocker? Any ideas thanks.
Nice mats. I need new ones, To RPD to get me some!! This looks genuinely nice. I've been on a mission to bring mine back to standard. Was (poorly) moded by Previous owner. Bad induction kit. Scuffed up wheels. Crappy coilovers (and I mean craaaaaapy). Milk caps for breaks and cheap tyres. And...
Top mounts are normal? Fair enough. They just look odd. I'll get to sanding at some point then. So I just disconnect the manifold? Like you would to change the sparks? Then just spray? Should I tape anything up or just spray it?
Hello all, I've had my Clio for a while now(3ish+ years) and I'm finally getting round to doing some jobs I always keep my engine bay relatively clean. But there's some bits that scratch at that part of my brain why wife wishes didn't exist.
Engine bay pretty simple.
Is this normal? For it...
