Yeah CL 5 on the rear and CL 6 on the front

I've gone from CL 5's to standard pads on the rear and the CL 5's made quite a bit of difference in braking.

Anyone have problems with there head set ?

Yeah I did try and adjust it my self but it didn't turn out as easy as I thought and had to get it back to the garage with in the MOT 10 day retest.

Hi. My ph1 172 failed its MOT on only one rear wheel braking on the hand brake. This was fine I thought..just get 2 new cables and that will sort it but no. They have tried a set of cables but they didn't fit and he has tried everyone he knows about getting the correct ones but can't find them...

I run with RC 6 on the front and RC 5 on the back and never have brake fade.

Well having looked at it all again today all seems to be as it should..no snapped cables..caliper arm moves but still the cable is slack. Do these cables stretch ? Would winding both caliper pistons do anything for the hand brake ? Help much appreciated Andy

I was told that these battery's only have a life of a couple of years and they don't like being left connected for long periods if the car isn't being used.

Hi Thanks for the info and some ideas to find out what's wrong. The near side caliper closes when the brake peddle is applied. Also I've tried pulling on the slackish hand brake cable to see if it would pull out or operate the caliper but no joy. The nut is only half way a long the adjuster...

I take it that the only adjustment is the nut ? When both hand brake cables are brand new are they the same length ? As far as I'm aware the hand brake cables are old.

Hi Ive adjusted the nut under the car so much that the off side rear caliper is on and the near side calliper is not. Is there any other adjustment from side to side ? Discs and pads are only a month old. Thank for any help. Andy

No, I just had lines and like the OP says its wanting to be set but you can't set it.

I had this problem. I also had a problem with my rear discs which brought up some lights on the dash. Took the car into Renault to sort, they did a clip test on all abs sensors/braking systems and sorted that problem out, it also had an added bonus of fixing the cruise control and speed limiter.
