I had the same mods and got a re-map done at k-tec, probably one of the best mods I did to the car before going for what I have now. The map made it a bit quicker and had a raised rev limit.
Great video and I've seen it before and I'll watch it again at some point. I've got a mk2 ph1, a cup and the trophy. In standard form the trophy is the best of the lot.
Hi
I need to do this to mine too, might give it a go this weekend as well. Have you removed the top dash to do this and what size bolts are used ?
cheers
I'd say pull and twist at the same time. It's only a couple of O rings holding it in. Best to take the connector off the sensor too if you haven't done that yet.
I've got a silenced decat and a silenced ktec stealth. It's 89db at 4000 revs so passes most tracks but like Jay.S I think I'm getting old too and just bought a ph1 twin barrell cat to try and make it quiter.
Ktec :quiet:
Had a remap a few years ago and was very pleased with it. Had a slightly higher RPM and a bit more grunt, not much but definitely noticeable.
Big thanks to Tony for pointing me in the right direction. I ordered some Dunlop dz03g on Tuesday and two days later had them delivered. I had them fitted yesterday and went for a drive this morning to see how they where on the road. Bearing in mind I normally run toyo r888.......WOW!!! They are...
If I had to do it all over again
Quaife diff
cup dampers with cooksport or mark fish springs
poly bush everything
Oz ultra leggera wheels
brembo max groove front discs
A quiet 2.5"exhaust
Remap....or if the budget can stretch.. ITB's
I've had all three, in standard form the trophy wins. The ph1 is a better car than the cup as the ph2 wasn't an improvement over the ph1 that's why they had to make it. (even more of a can of worms):-)
Who looks at the interior when driving anyway :-)
