Not a bad read, love reading the usual bullshit from people saying they're unreliable and the bits fall off.... yawn...
A V6 owner told me that the paint for them was mixed by hand and not machine so all the LY V6's are slightly different. Not sure if that's a myth though.
If the manifold was changed then i doubt it will be the flexi pipes. Has the exhaust been sealed correctly at the joints ? mine blows a little bit from cold but i know it needs re pasting.
Good effort, its what you have got and how you use it rather than wasting stupid money on fancy waxes etc.... problem with detailing is there's always that itch to try something new and it quite becomes costly...
Not sure what it is, its probably the colour which is unique to the 172 Cup teamed with Silver Turini's they just look so right. I'd love one for show and shine/concourse events... hopefully have one in a few years as a project...
Love Snappy's steering wheels but the band at the top always looks a bit cheap for me in comparison to the rest of the wheel. The Trophy stitching is a nice touch.
Beautiful V6; you bought it just before the boat set sale on the values...
Quite an impressive sight to see the engine out, feel the pain for your wallet though :)
UR looks so good on the 197; i had the flexi pipe problem a few months ago and it wasn't cheap. Get the belts done and you've got a well sorted 197 now.
My rear window has a lot of tiny scratches; i am guessing the previous owner used a brillo pad to clean it. I have tried using an aggressive cutting polish with a DAS 6 and there's little improvement.
Nice looking car mate, no disrespect to the Fiesta ST, great car but looks so boring.
I would have opted for the 200T like you have. Best colour too :)
Just read this from start to finish; great diary and so many nice upgrades you have done for the car.
Remember seeing it at the RenaultSport day at Oulton back in August and it looked so clean.
I don't see the point in not putting the premium fuel in; its recommended by the manufacturer to get the best from the engine. Renault don't make money for stating this in the handbook and on the fuel filler cap...... its an extra 10p a litre which is hardly breaking the bank IMO.
