Any Clio was cleaner than mine today..... 400 mile round trip to collect a set of Anthractie Cup Speedline's yesterday in the sleet and rain :D
No i didn't put it on the rollers. Have you ever dyno'd yours ?
The highest N/A Clio i saw was the Blue 182 which pulled 179 along with a Sunflower Ph1 that also made 179. There was a Black 197 there which didn't live up to expectations shall we say. Poorly dephaser robbed it of a lot of power.
Some pics from me. Didn't take enough :P some nice cars on display today, loved that standard 53 plate 182 which i believe was standard excluding a good induction system that pulled 179 bhp.

Mine was replaced at 34k miles.... car is now on 53k and no signs of issues so far. It will have the oil changed every 12 months.
I always rev match my down shifts and never snap change which obviously prevents me grinding the gears which i am hoping doesn't melt the chocolate :P
As said in my post above; i haven't noticed this. If you decat and remove the silencer then yes you do have an awful falt spot. I plan to possibly have mine mapped at RS Tuning later this year anyway. Decat IMO is worth it for the added noise and pops when you rev match your down changes :D
Love mine; feel superb on the fast flowing A and B roads. Driving position is excellent. Never really driven a 182 or 172 in anger so can't comment too much on the differences but i would 100% recommend a 197 to anyone. The turn in is superb and the nose goes exactly where you want it to.

Never liked the Black grills on any period of BMW, especially on the older models, E30 M3 etc...
Anthracite wheels would look nice on this M3. Not a big fan of black wheels, my 197 has Satin black wheels and i think they look shite although thats about to change.
Looks lovely, although the splitter looks as though its held on with Blu Tac.... tacky IMO and FFS why do people think Black Kidney grills and Black M badges look good...
Great thread so far, really enjoyed reading that. I like the route you have taken with the car, it looks close to a factory spec Cup car rather than some cheap project littered with ebay parts.
